Since I work late nights I had to rely on NASCARs Live Leader Board ( which is about 5 minutes behind your posts) and the Daytona thread in this forum (which is partially blocked at work, I can read it but I can't log in) to keep up with what was going on. You guys had me laughing my ass off at work over the Montoya thing. With the exception of the usual bitching and moaning about Daytona you guys were more entertaining than any radio broadcast I've ever heard.

I haven't had anything to do with racing much since Dan Wheldon passed away, I couldn't even watch the shootout or the duals for the first time in years, just not the same for me to watch any kind of racing for some reason. Other than joining the fantasy team and Spikes game on here I've only checked in once in a while, I kind of miss this site. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you (even Andy) for helping work not be so bad tonight.

I understand your feelings chrome. Between Dan and Simoncelli last year happening in such a short time frame together I also found that I was quite down in the dumps about watching racing as well and I have no problems admitting that I cried like a baby for both of them. The thing is though, I love racing and I watch so much of it, NASCAR, Indy, F1, rolex, Moto gp, motorcross/supercross, NHRA, etc, etc, etc. but I know that death, sadly, will always be a part of racing as well. It really is ****** that something that can bring such joy to so many people can bring such sadness as well but that's a part of life and part of the risk of the sport we love much.

I really struggled to watch the final few races of moto gp last year and I know I'm going to have a bit of a rough time watching the Vegas NASCAR races and the Indy cars at the 500 and texas this year. My problem is I love racing too much to not watch it and I have a feeling Dan and Simoncelli and ever other racer that has died while racing would want us to continue watching the sport they loved so much.

I say just work yourself back into it slowly, watch a race here and there, even if it's only for a little bit.
