Thanks for the soup. It was delicious. I even ate all the carrotts. She is a wonderful cook everyone.

Hey wait a darn minute. Y'all had soup. Where's mine?
Tho I'm not a real big lover of soup unless it's home made. That can stuff has too much salt.

bp, Kellogg makes homemade soup (I think).
Kat does too, and my chicken soup is WORLD CLASS!

It was homemade soup bp. Today she brought me some taco casserole. It was really good too. Guess you should live closer.

Tell me your secret.:growl:

I'm feeling abit under the weather so i need some soup now to recoup. :bounce:

First ya git some KOSHER chicken (I use Capons as the flavor is more to my taste). Cut it up, and cover with quartered onions, celery (including leaves), unpeeled quartered carrots, parsnip and chopped (large) turnip.
Cover with waterand bring to a hearty simmer, cover, reduce heat and cook until the meay falls off the bone.
Strain and discard veggies. Chill and then you can easily skim the fat as it will rise to the top. MMMMM

Thanks kat!!!

Sounds great jst reading it Kat.

If one uses Kosher chicken, ya don't have those black veins or blood near the bones (YUK!) and you can use the meat (if desired) when you re-heat the soup or save it for chicken salad.
When re-heating for chicken noodle, always cook the noodles seperatly, carrots, onion and celery too! Don't spoil the broth! I cook my matzoh balls in a bit of broth and water before adding to hot soup.
