Thanksgiving Pre Turkey Thread

MM, I'm going to move this to the Chit-Chat forum.

As for the answers --- my family is gathering on Monday at my home because the brother has to work T'giving night. Since it is going to cold/wet/icy miserable we decided a big pot of chicken and dumplings is our dinner.

As for Thursday, depending on the weather, I may drive up to a friend's home and celebrate with them, or drive across town to another friend's home.
 
Weather will be dicey nationwide on Wednesday. We'll be headimg one hour north on Thursday for vittles and family.
Everybody be safe and enjoy time with family and friends.
 
My brother in law can't get off work on Friday to make their annual Thanksgiving trip to my parents in Ohio. So the whole family is packing up and we are making the 420 mile trip south to my sisters in Madison, NC on Wednesday and staying until Saturday.

Hey you're going to be in my neighborhood.I'll be in Mayodan NC celebrating with my family.

Madison and Mayodan are basically the same town, they share the same high school and had talked many times of merging the 2 together. Not sure where the towns separate but I think it's on business 220 at the Hardees.
 
There's usually not a lot of traffic on the roads on Thanksgiving. I was going to go for a motorcycle ride but now it appears we're going to get some drizzle on Thursday. :(
 
No plans, most of family is fighting amongest themselves so every one is doing their own thing, I might go out to the local Tavern and have dinner and a few beers.

I understand Mopar...we won't be having a family dinner either. Everything went downhill after Uncle Bob shot Jimmy in the leg during an argument over religion and had to go to jail. Then Jimmy got bit by a rattler at Sunday services (poetic justice I suppose). Cindy was the real cook but she's up at the clinic getting cured off the Wild Turkey. My brother is down in Sarrasota helping them winterize the carnival rides.

As for me I guess I'll just be hanging around at NASA as usual...working on re-entry angles for the new space vehicles and helping my intern understand orbital science...maybe get a turkey sandwich at the cafeteria.

I sure miss the family though...;)
