Yeah that's close to where I live.Funny thing about that one is.They don't say exactly where he crashed it.Every story I see about it will not give the location.Seeing and reading your post reminded me of this one …

Finally a street.Did you ever see a name of the owner? You were not kidding … I went and read 4 stories about it and all of them just stated it happened outside of Dallas .. then I found this one … I can't swear to its accuracy …
27-Year-Old That Crashed McLaren P1 Had Car For Less Than 24 Hours
By 7:41 a.m. the next day, first responders were being called to the scene of the crash. They said the driver appeared to have lost control of the car after hitting a wet patch while traveling on McKinnon Street. The car then slammed into a guardrail. Considering the high level of damage some speed must have been involved.
Yeah, if you want to see what your new ride can do I'd recommend Bonneville salt flats.Wow, it's a shame when somebody goes out and tears up a great car right away. I can understand a driver wanting to find out what his new ride can do, but like Clint Eastwood said as Harry Callahan: A man's GOT to know his limitations.
I remember similar stories back when the first Tesla Roadsters were delivered. More than one met its demise on its first day on the street - drivers weren't prepared for the amount of torque and sudden acceleration it had. Wrecking one of those must really hurt the wallet - they were $109.000 at the time... and you had to wait month if not years to take delivery.

agreed. Why are these people hot rodding around immediately off the lot? The engines/drivetrain have a break-in period anyways....
Too much money and not enough smarts.
