Last week I shot a pathetic 90 for my 1st 9 holes ever. I just got back from playing my 2nd 9 holes. I shot a 65 for the same 9 holes. :)

A 65 is still pretty bad for a par 35, but it was 25 shots better than last week. :D

I figure if I get 22.5% better every week, I will be on the PGA senior tour in no time

:partytime:

That's alot better, 4x. But my Granddad always told me, "If you want to be better at the game of golf, you have to keep playing and practicing!" Keep up the work, and you'll be better in no time! (Oh, and, I forgot to mention, my Granddad is 84 and still plays a game of golf every weekend!)

Keep it up and I will be watching you on TV.
Let's just hope that when you see me on TV it isn't for doing something really stupid. ;)

nice job 4x

i got my first round of the year in today. shot a 49, had a par and my first career birdie

Thanks DirtyMo

I hope to shoot a 50 by the end of the year. That seems like a realistic goal to me.

I don't know what par is on the course I play on my thursday night league, so I don't know what a good score is there yet. I imagine it is close to the 35 at Firestone where I have been playing, but I don't know for sure.

My first short term goal is to par at least one hole. I came pretty close a few times today. I was on the green in 2 on a couple different par 4's, but my putting is horrific when I am close to shooting a par B)

I am kind of curious to see how much better I do when it is above 60 degrees or so and the wind is not 20mph+ when I am playing.

The first time I played (last monday) it was in the 30's and the wind was 20-30 miles an hour most of the time. There was still some snow on the ground in a few places (of course my ball found those places  ).

It was a little better today. It was in the 40's and the wind was only about 10-20 miles an hour consistently, with gusts of 20mph+.

I planned to wait until it got warmer than it was today, but I am running out of time. My league starts in 10 days or so. We had beautiful golfing weather several days last week, but I had to work every day but monday. It was nicer than this yesterday, but Easter was just too busy around here.

I'd love to keep practicing. My work schedule doesn't really allow me to play more than once a week. I did get to the driving range one more time last week before I went into work.
