another reason exclusivity contracts suck. alltel is still paying the bills, but the car is labeled penske for legal reasons.
Hmm..i feel repurcussions form the 31 car?

Mag, it was also in a Verizon scheme, with Verizon's trademark "V" running across the sides.another reason exclusivity contracts suck. alltel is still paying the bills, but the car is labeled penske for legal reasons.

just seems we didn't have these problems when Winston was the title sponsor........ geeze, politics.......
so they had the V on it, but nascar made them take the red off?Mag, it was also in a Verizon scheme, with Verizon's trademark "V" running across the sides.
IF the decals were alltel (and I don't know if they were or not), this was a very blatant attempt to advertise Verizon and they had to know this would piss NASCAR off.
I don't know what exactly the contracts say though. But the Verizon black and red paint scheme was pushing it.
It was slick, and kind of funny, but NASCAR figured it out and they aren't laughing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we ever see Marlboro on the side of a car when it was Winston Cup?just seems we didn't have these problems when Winston was the title sponsor........ geeze, politics.......
I understand that, but none of those are cigarettes. The only cig that I ever remember being on the hood of a car was Camel, a product of RJR.No Malboro, they were concetrating on Indy..... but there was plenty of US Tobacco products sponsors......ie, Skoal, Skoal bandits, Conwood Tobacco-Levi Garrett, Kodiak, etc........
