Not a fan of the headlights either. The nose of that car is out awfully far.

that picture does not do the car justice it looks alot better they showed it on RPM and the headlights looked better. I think it will be a sharp looking car.

Just wondering- what with Gibbs switching to chevy, I wonder if Pontiac is feeling the pressure to start courting other teams away from their makes. I get the feeling that aside from Gibbs, everyone else is relatively satisfied.

I like the looks of the car, but agree the headlights look too cartoonish.

well, so much for trying to make the cars have about the same body. The nose of that car is way different, and those lights too exagerated. I don't dislike it, per say, but maybe it needs a little bit more tweaking before they put that car on the track.

Nascar has always had trouble trying to figure out what type of air package to put on the Pontiac to keep it even with the rest of the field. This new body is either going to help or hurt Pontiac when Nascar decides what heights to set teh spoiler and the front valence.

I like this car i really do. i am even starting to like the "headlights" ye si know they are decals. it sfunny when i showed this to my brother i told him the the headlights looked odd and he said how i said cartoonish.
I think htis car would have been so much cooler if there was not a kickout below the headlights and it was a nice round curve to the bottom of the car leaving the center the way it is andit would have been sticking out some it would look really cool that way. IMO

Hmmm...If this car is so good Why is Gibbs leaving. I just cant believe with all the $$$ involved that they would just switch. For all they know this new pontiac may dominate the sport, or be better than the Chevys. It may be what they were looking for.

Who knows, perhaps that is just another part of silly season Or perhaps Gibbs has just been the one who has been the most outspoken about it. Never could understand that, you will hear interviews about how bad they are running and they turn around and have good runs. But then just about every make out there has done the same thing a time or two before.

Pontiac already has the slickest car according to the Coefficient of Drag, they had a .335 CD, Chevy a .338, Ford a .341 and Dodge a .342.
With the dodge body being designed off of the Ford template and the 03 pontiac being designed off the dodge template, who knows how good this car will be
Although the 03 looks even slicker mabey Gibbs didn't like how the numbers added up compared to the chevy, we willl see next year

Will have to wait and see if Gibbs made the right decision. Chevy is also getting a new car next year.

The car looks really good. Now they just need to find some teams that will run it. Too bad they're losing their top team. I hope someone steps up to the plate and keeps Pontiac in the game. It would seem weird without them.

I think a few teams after seeing the car willrealise that it might be a good car and jump ship.I still thinkPPI will switch over to Pontiac.
I head the reason why gibbs switched over from pontaic to Chevy is bc of money Pontaic could only give then $11 million a year and they needed $20 Million(no idea why shouldn't sponcers pay most of it?) But Chevy was able to give them the $20 Million so they switched to do money.
