any clue about this car next year? kenny's making his announcment tomarow, im assuming its its for bill davis racing, but what are the chances of kenny goin to the 25 car? or anyone here anything about who will be in this ride next year?

would it surprise anyone to see ricky hendrick in it?...i know he needs more experince in a stock car...but would it be a big shocker if it was him in the 25?

Allegedly there is a short list of drivers the Hendrick group is considering. Kenny is not one of them I don't think.

Given the recent success of the car, Ricky may have to have a driver beaten senseless and strapped into the car unconcious. When he wakes up hopefully it will raceday and then what can he do?:D

lol very true, it really seems like no one is interested in this ride, basically no talk about it at all

Welcome to the board, todd.

There hasn't been a whole lot of buzz about the 25. It's hard to say whether the performance or lack thereof is more the car or the driver. Nemechek won't ever be mentioned in the same breath with the Yarbroughs, Pettys and Allisons. The car has shown flashes of competitiveness, but never dominance. Tough call. I'm thinking they will get another "company" driver, much like when Roush had Musgrave and Wally. Little more than glorified R/D cars, but if one of them finds a stray win, more the better.

thanks for the welcome, im sure if nobody wants the ride, i guess rick could always put ricky in the car

You know what I find amazing? Musgrave finished 7th in points in '97 or '98.

The 25 is not much of a ride, I have heard maybe John Andretti might go there, but i think he will stay with the 43. The only recent succes the 25 has had was when Jerry was in the car(I know, im biased) but since Joe got in the car they have droped something like 6 spots in owners points. Nothing against Joe, I like him, hes just in the wrong car. Either next year or the year after Ricky will be in the 25, either that or the 5. As for next year in the 25, maybe Wally. It hasn't been rummored much, but he wants to get back into racing, and he did race for Hendrick at one point in the same car.

Put whoever Is best for the Ride in it. In other words a young gun. Scott Riggs sounds good...

a few months ago they said booby labonte that would be sweeeeeeeeeet but i doubt it

Labonte seems to be happy with Gibbs. For all we know ol Joe will be back in that car next year. Jayskis says that it a very short list of drivers for it,
#25 Driver - short list - no names: Team Owner Rick Hendrick says there is a short list of candidates for the #25 ride next season. Joe Nemechek has been driving the car since the Coca-Cola 600 in May. Though Hendrick says he knows "Joe can drive a car and is great with the sponsors," his hard luck since joining the team is unsettling.(Sporting News)(8-26-2002)

Oh no that would not be sweet!!!!! Everyone thinks it would be great for the Labonte bros to be on the same team, but I really don't think the 25 car would be good for Bobby, it's junk IMO!

I have a buddy who works at Andy Petree Racing and I heard that possibly Booby Hamilton in the #25-----Now that is just here say so I dont know if there is any truth to that or not, but it has been talked about.

I don't think it will be Hamilton. The thought crossed my mind, but he wants to be in a dodge next year because of his truck team.
