The #32 Roush Ford driven by Boris Said...

Actually, Said and R. Gordon are the only "ringers" I see entered at Sonoma.

It's not on the entry list but Yahoo is listing Brian Simo as driving the #30, too.

The Yahoo Fantasy League is showing Schrader in the #32 but I'm guessing it's needs to be updated.

Boris has done more for NA$$CAR than most realize - at least in terms of their brief foray into road course racing.

Go Boris!!
Said Heads Unite!!!

Boris has certainly spent a lot of time teaching the Nascar guys how to road race . There was a time when they all came to Boris . People forget too , that these 'ringers' don't get rides in the top cars , they have to get in back up cars or start and parks , and try to get them to the front . They do that with crews they have never worked with before . I think they are pretty impressive and I love to watch them race.

I don't think the Road Ringer boys have nearly the advantage they did at one time some of these regular Cup drivers can really wheel a roadrace car!

 I once heard a driver on the radio at Sebring say he had "Ate the Straw" it took a few moments for me to realize he was Off the track and into the HAY BAILS.

I seem to recall Jimmy Spencer not even wanting to watch a road course race , let alone drive in one.

Personally, I rather enjoyed the little tiff Boris had with Biffle. LOL :angel2:

Yep, nice to see a guy who isn't always in the race but aint afraid to mix it up with the "big boys."
I'm laughing because of the double meaning to "big boys" when comparing Boris with Biffle. :) Biffle has bugged the hell out of me at different times and I think he is sort of a talk big, run away kind of guy. But that's just me ....... ;)

Then why isn't he racing in cup? He is racing in everything but cup.
He's got an unbelievably large off road team, and is in the process of building a new Micky Thompson style off road arena thing. He's also trying to get Dodge to come to him, since he has the ability to manufacture his own stuff.

I know this and I follow him pretty closely. I was at MIS last Sunday and had he been racing there I would have had his freq on the scanner. That is why I said I miss him.

Boris would've gone to his house and given him that "whoopin'".

I wish he would have.... I was waiting to hear about it come Wednesday night! Nah, not really, but I thought it was pretty funny. Greg behind all of his crew yelling at Boris was pretty darn embarrassing....or should have been, for Biffle.

Isn't that Robby Gordon?

He had a couple of opportunities to race in CUP and Busch on a regular basis. He even owned his own team, NO FEAR RACING for a while as an affiliate with Roush. SoBe was his main sponsor (his company) and his slogan was, "Buy more cases and we'll run more races!". He just could not find the financial backing to sustain it.

Here's a pretty cool Boris piece from 2006...

Road racing has been in Nascar long before Boris Said ever was and will be after he's gone. I'd like to see him go head to head with Rudd one of these days ;)

Or Petty, Richmond, Unser, Foyt, Gurney, Bobby Allison, etc...
I sure do miss the old Riverside Raceway in SoCal!
