Maybe I'm just out of touch but I've almost never seen any of the movies that get nominated. Heck, I haven't even heard of half the actors in the movies. Just another boring award show I guess. Hollywood loves to give themselves awards.

I've heard of Hugo and I really want to see that movie. But if you don't go to the theater opening night, you won't see the movie because AMC Waldorf sucks.

I know what you're saying, and the music awards are about same. Man, do I feel old and out of touch when I watch these awards shows anymore.

The only one I saw was Moneyball, we rented it the other night. Pretty good, but the movie industry stopped putting out good movies years ago.

My wife is the movie buff but even she doesn't watch these awards shows.
Now that we have the streaming Netflix she's a happy camper every night.

I tried to watch the People's Choice Awards but didn't know half the people that won those awards ...

Then we watched the Golden Globes ... never heard of half of those people or the movies that was up for awards ...

Sag/Oscar Awards are coming up ... sure it will be the same with them also ...

I usually enjoy watching them but when you don't know half of the people up for them ... not so fun.
