The best current or active driver polls. 2.0
1.The first thread is so cluttered it probably discourages participation or interest. Hopefully this will simplify matters.
2. The first set of polls are running and will close out on Friday . A procedure change is effect. With the exception of the final poll, almost all of the final 20 drivers are only eliminated after a second loss (double elimination). Hopefully that will remedy some of the seeding flaws.
It also will allow for more head to head match ups among some great drivers.
3. The net results or operating rules for round two
1. Jimmie Johnson vs 16
2. Jeff Gordon vs 15
3. Tony Stewart vs 14
4 .Bill Elliott vs 13
5. Kurt Busch vs 12
6. Matt Kenseth vs 11
7. Brad Keselowski vs 10
8. Mark Martin vs 9 Denny Hamlin
(The above polls will be open for four days)
Seed # 10 Will be the driver with the most votes in the current set of polls, 1st tiebreaker vote %, 2nd tiebreaker original seed postion.
Seed 11 the driver with the second most votes etc
....
Provisional Seed 16, the winner of the current polls with the lowest vote count.
Seed 17, will be the driver who did not win his poll, but had the most votes among that group.
Seed 18 the driver with the next highest vote count.
Seed 19
Seed 20
All others are eliminated.
For seeds 20- 16 the following elimination polls will consist of:
Seed 20 vs 19
The winner vs seed 18
The winner vs seed 17
The winner verse seed 16 (if seed 16 losses this one they are eliminated regardless of no previous losses)
The winner or seed 16 will be polled against 1 Jimmie Johnson. (These elimination rounds will last only 24 hours)
Round three will work the same way
1 vs (8)
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5
Like round two They will be seeded by votes count from the previous round . These polls will be opened for four days.
For that double elimination
16 vs 15, then the winner opposes 14 etc until we reach the final 8 (these polls will be open for 36 hours.
Note: this is posted to prevent any surprises, and to spell out the protocols of Greg, before it effects any driver.
