Who's your favorite driver? What's the best track? What was the best race? In your opinion.. and why?

My favorite driver is obviously Joey Logano. I think he is well on his way to becoming a great in this sport. That's all I'll say about that as most of you know my view on this subject lol.

Best track to me Talladega hands down! Longest track, full throttle 200 mph of disaster waiting around every turn, and I love where they put the start finish line, makes for great finishes!

The best race I've seen?... I'm having a bit of trouble thinking of just one.. Im going to have to say a three way tie between Talladega 2011. Pocono 2012 :p... and last week's race at Auto Club. All had fantastic finishes and with the exception of Pocono a lot of lead changes and an unexpected winner come late race. Auto Club I was expecting to be a bore fest so just the pure surprise of how competitive it was gave it a great rating in my book. Regardless of how my driver did.

So what's your favorite?

Kyle Busch, just love his "I don't give a damn" attitude and his passion for winning.

Martinsville, since they reconfigured Bristol.

2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 at Darlington with Busch and Craven at the finish, closest finish in NASCAR history. (Kurt was my driver then)

2004 Ford 400 at Homestead. Kurt Busch was just 18 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson heading into the finale. On Lap 93, Kurt lost the tire when he entered the pits, and lost the points lead to Gordon at that point in the race. He rebounded to hold on and win the Championship by 8 points over Johnson. Closest at the time. It was the 2nd most caution filled NASCAR race. I was just on the edge of my seat the entire race.

My favorite driver hands down is Jeff Gordon. Although I have a couple different drivers I cheer for. (Looking forward to watching Kyle Larson progress) Favorite track, Martinsville. It represents everything racing should be IMO. As far as the best race, there's a lot that stick out, but for me it was the 1998 Daytona 500. It took 20 years for Dale to win the 500 and to see him win that race and everybody on pit road congratulating him was awesome.

Gordon and Johnson. My favorite track is Talladega too. Favorite race is 07 Talladega. 97 Daytona, just cause it was Jeff's first 500 and 1,2,3 Hendrick finish. 2001 Atlanta with Harvick and Gordon battling it out at the end. 04 Atlanta win for JJ, after Ricky's death. 11 fall race in Atlanta, which got Jeff 85 wins. 02 Bristol night race, Jeff did a bump and run on Rusty, to win

I can't say I have a favorite driver, brad, tony, JJ, dale jr. are normally my favorites. BUT I believe I am a fan of the sport. I have dogged on guys like jamie mcmurray and even sadler saying they didn't deserve a ride and all but at the same time when jmac won 3 races a couple years ago I was excited for the guy. heck there has been times I have even rooted for kurt busch.

ok favorite track. each track can put on a good race, pocono puts on a great truck race because of the draft. but generally martinsville, bristol, richmond and darlington are my top 4. of the big tracks michigan before the repave put on the best race. believe it or not california has put on a great race the last couple times.

Favorite Driver: I don't have a favorite driver - but I love it when PEE WEE WINS!!

Favorite Track: Riverside Raceway was shut down years ago so I will have to say Sears Point.
But I also love Bristol and Martinsville.

Favorite Race: The Next One - unless it's a Destructor Plate Race, of course. ;)

Kenseth. I don't care where the race is as long as there's racing.

Jimmie Johnson, obviously, in the NSCS. In nationwide, I normally root for Regan Smith or Brian Vickers and in trucks, I like James Buescher best.

I've liked Kurt ever since he called Jimmy Spencer a fat never has been on television.
I love the superspeedways and the short tracks. The in betweens generally don't do it for me. Unless Joey is wrecking people!

Driver: Dale Earnhardt. Current Driver? Junior. Although I do like a lot of drivers, and there is rarely a driver I dislike.
Favorite track is probably Richmond because it combines so many different elements
Favorite race is the 1998 Daytona 500 for obvious reasons.

My thoughts exactly.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm not saying it's my favorite, obviously. The 2001 Daytona 500 set up so many wonderful and tearful moments for many.

DuraLube 400 @ Rockingham. Just one week after Sr's death, the race would be rained out. Then on Monday DEI driver Steve Park would take the checkered flag in one of only 2 career wins in 183 tries. Also marked the debut of Kevin Harvick in the #29 Goodwrench Chevy.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 @ Atlanta -Kevin Harvick, in just his 3rd start, would outduel Jeff Gordon in a spectacular finish, winning by only .006 seconds, being the second closest finish in NASCAR history at the time. Harvick performed a burnout on the frontstretch with three fingers raised out the window. Harvick would also win the inaugural race at Chicagoland.

Pepsi 400 @ Daytona - Being the first time back at Daytona since Sr died, Jr and Waltrip would finish 1-2. They would both celebrate, creating a moment I will never forget. Them on the infield, together, hugging each other on the roof of the Chevrolet. Jr would win 2 more races that season.

NAPA Auto Parts 500 @ California - Rusty Wallace would get his 54th carrer win. He won on what would have been Dale Earnhardt's 50th Birthday and paid tribute to him by carrying a big #3 flag out the window on his celebration lap.

The fans, whether you hated Sr or loved him, all came together that season and respected Sr. From the 3 fingers high in the air on the 3rd lap of every race to everyone signing Sr's souvenir trailer that still traveled track to track.

What started as tragedy, turned in to be one of my most unforgettable seasons in the 25 years that I have been a NASCAR fan.

Driver: Jeff Gordon is my obviously my favorite. A couple of other guys I really pull for each week are Harvick and Keselowski.
Tracks: Bristol, Martinsville, Daytona, Talladega, Watkins Glen
Race: 2011 Aaron's 499 at 'Dega. Most lead changes in a race without a GWC, tie for closest finish in Cup history, four wide at the line.

My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, but in a few years when he retires, I'll move to Jamie McMurray. He's not the greatest driver, but he seems like a good guy off track. My dad won a contest so him and my sister got to spend race day with Jamie and his team and they said he was the nicest guy ever.

My favorite track is either Martinsville, Talladega or Bristol. Short tracks are always great, but I love how the start finish line at Talladega is almost to turn one. Even coming off of turn four, you still don't know who'll win.

I usually don't remember a race for long enough to have a favorite.

Drivers: None at present. In the day David Pearson, Bobby Allison and that guy in my av.

Tracks: Darlington, Rockingham, Dover and Pocono.

Race: The 1971 Miller 500 at Ontario. First Nascar race ever held at that epic but short-lived Indy-style oval. A.J. Foyt won it for the Wood Bros in a 51 car field and Evil Knievel jumped 19 cars in the infield before the start. I was 13 and worked my way to the front for Evil's jump.

Favorite driver today, none really, I always cheered for Bobby Labonte when he was in the 18 interstate batteries car, hated to see him leave that team. Favorite drivers of the past, Davey Allison, Earnhardt, Harry Gant.

Favorite race was probably the 2000 Fall Talladega race where Earnhardt came from 18th or whatever it was to win. I don't think i've ever jumped up and down as much as I did that day lol.

Past favorites include Richard Petty, Davey Allison, and Alan Kulwicki. I have three favorites I follow for good, bad, and otherwise; Jeff Gordon, Matt Kensith, and Tony Stewart (although it is tough to be a Stewart fan at times). Every year I pick someone from the back in the pack to follow for a season. I also like to keep tabs on other drivers I like and dislike during a race.

I don't have a favorite track or specific race - although I have many memories of favorite moments like Earnhardt winning the 500; I wasn't a fan but thought it was the coolest thing I've seen in racing when all the teams come out to pit lane to congratulate him.

Favorite driver. Bill Elliott hands down. Favorite current driver is hard for me. I like Smoke, Carl, Mark Martin, and Brad K to some degree.

Favorite track would be Darlington hands down. It seperates even the best of the best. I wish so much there were two races there and more tracks like it. Its like the pro golfers playing at a brutal unforgiving course. Worst track would have to be Martinsville. Cant stand the paper clip. I also like Atlanta because its so fast. I am for the most part a speedway junkie.

Faviorate current drive: Greg Biffle (around 2006/07 he and his wife stopped by to pay a family member of mine who was sick a visit. This family member did not ask for any celebrities to pay them a visit which is why it ment a great deal to know that they would visit someone who is sick like that). Besides Greg his former team mate Matt Kenseth I am a big fan of and Kevin Harvick.

Faviorate Race: 2002 Daytona 500 (Everyone thought Gordon would win but he got wrecked at the end by Sterlin Marlin, setting up one of the funniest things I ever seen in racing).

Faviorate Track: Short Track, Road Courses and Restrictor Plate tracks. Mile and a half tracks just don't raise much excitement for me.

Favorite active driver: Dale Earnhardt JR...obviously not many wins during the last 6 years (which is about 1/2 his career) but I like to blame that on Teresa, Tony JR and Lance McGrew who are no longer in the Cup series. BTW JR's best friend TJ Majors has been the spotter throughout this period so I'm not real impressed by him either. Anyway, JR had 15 Cup wins with Tony 'Pops' Eury before the DEI brain trust decided to move him to a management position after the 2004 season. JR had 6 wins that year including the Daytona 500 so his fans always believed he could run up front again if he ever got a decent crew chief and Steve Letarte has proved that. Also JR's taken some big hits before a lot of these tracks implemented SAFER barriers and he was almost burned alive in that corvette crash so I cut him some slack when he doesn't act like the old JR.
Favorite track: Atlanta Motor Speedway
Favorite race: Some of the all-time greats have already been mentioned so I'll go with the 2000 Cracker Barrel 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Dale Earnhardt beat Bobby Labonte by .010 seconds making it one of the closest finishes in NASCAR history.

Favorite driver is Clint Bowyer. I love how he's all laid back until someone pisses him off, then watch out. I'll have to agree with the masses and say Talladega is my favorite track. Favorite race was the 1992 Hooters 500 season finale at Atlanta, just because there were so many compelling storylines going into that race. There were 6 drivers elligible for the title going in, a scenario the Chase hasn't even been able to produce.

My favorite track is the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet Illinois!
My favorite drivers.
Indy Car - Dario Franchitti, Tony Kannan, Helio Casterneves.
Nascar - Danica Patrick, Mark martin, Brad Keselowski.
My Favorite race, was the Indy Car race back in 2008 at the Chicagoland Speedway. Check out the video.
