The charmed life of Jamie

I was in the process of shutting down my computer at the end of the Busch race. I had to sign back on and come see if anyone else had seen that finish!!
 
I saw that finish!

Jeff did exactly right. He left Mikey a lane & Mikey wanted more & drove into Jeff!

If you watch the replays Mikey had a foot between his left front & the white line.

Like Jeff said ! Last lap I wasn't just gonna give him the race. He knew He could bogg Mikey down in the middle & beat him up off the corner.

Too bad Mikey go watch the tape ! you are wrong!
 
How'd this kid get good when he got a Cup ride? Who knew? Sucks for Mikey though...
 
Unbelievable, I'd rather have Jamie's luck than a license to steal. Chip really knew what he was doing when he signed this kid. i hope he continues like this for a long time.
 
Sounds like the kid is the real deal.I didn't get to see the race though.Looks like Biffle put another dot on the I. :)
 
Somethings lit a fire in that kid's butt. He's on a roll now, he's definitely one to keep a watch on for tomorrow's Cup race, especially with starting 2nd.
 
It's the Miss Winston deal.

Maybe Kenny Wallace has been talking to him and convinced Jamie to use Stacker 2 for that extra boost of energy.
 
I think we can highly speculate that Jamie will be ROTY next year.

In the right place, at the right time.

This kid is GOOD!
 
Who else is running for rookie of the year?

Greg Biffle will be in good equipment.

Jack Sprague's team has been showing promise.

and Jamie McMurray.

There might be more, but just looking at those three, it's going to be a good competition again next year. Rookie drivers in high quality equipment. It seems to be the trend, for better or worse.

It's funny how just 4 weeks ago I'd never even heard the kids name before!! As far as Chip goes... In another thread Paul said something to the effect that Ganassi is a god... I have to agree. He's seeing something that the rest of us aren't....
 
I'll be interested in seeing how McMurray runs with a brand new team in '03.
 
There are a couple of otheres who may or may not be ROTY candidates for next season. Plans are still unconfirmed but rumors have heard.........
