I have no idea how they keep doing it, but the Cavaliers just won the NBA Draft Lottery for the 3rd time in 4 years last night. 3 years ago they took Kyrie Irving, who has turned into a great point guard. Last year they took Anthony Bennett who just basically sucked and the only reason he may never be considered the biggest bust in draft history is because nobody really expected him, or anybody else in his draft class really, to be any good.

This year, should be totally different from last year. Most everyone considers shooting guard Andrew Wiggins from Kansas to be a lock as the first pick and an absolute lock to be a great NBA player. I agree that he should be a great NBA player, and he is a very good defensive player on the perimeter, which is something the Cavs have lacked for quite a while. However, I'm not sure Jabari Parker from Duke wouldn't be a better fit and a better player in the end. I'm not sure you can go wrong either way. I think they are both going to be exceptional pros and either one makes the Cavs much better immediately.

They also may end up trading the pick as well, as there is an awful lot of interest in the #1 pick this year as many people are extremely high on Wiggins in particular.

The CAVS will screw it up and take Joel "Greg Oden" Embiid
That's what I'm kind of afraid of. He could be a great player, but back injuries in big men scare the crap out of me. I think I'd rather have Andrew Wiggins, or maybe even Jabari Parker (although he couldn't guard his lunch), but NBA people always fall in love with a big man. Who knows, maybe it works out. No matter how it turns out, it's gotta be better than Anthony Bennett.

Now ESPN and others are reporting that Embiid recently suffered a foot injury and his agent has cancelled any and all workouts ahead of the draft next week because of it. There are multiple reports that it is broken, but his people are just saying that it is injured and that it is being evaluated and they will have comment at the appropriate time. That really makes him a scary pick, even if it isn't broken. Doesn't it?

How would you like to be the guy who took a guy with a bad back and a bad foot #1 overall in a draft that had Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker among others in it and have the guy end up being an injured bust?

He has Yao Ming/ Greg Oden written all over him. Take one of the proven commodities in Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker and call it a day

The Cavs also reportedly offered their head coaching position to David Blatt who has been coaching in pro leagues in Europe for 20 years, most recently in Isreal. He played college basketball at Princeton.

LeBron back to Cleveland. Thank God, now I can finally get some sleep.
Wow! I just heard it on MSNBC, and I am shocked! After everything that's happened, it has all come full circle. I knew there were rumors about it, but I never thought he would leave Miami, let alone go back to the Cavs. That's awesome!

I guess he figured he had already did what he had to do to get a couple of rings and now he wants to try to get one for his hometown. Good stuff! I wonder what Wade and Bosh will do?

Apparently, a lot of people because it's the lead story on every ******* newschannel except Al Jazeera.
Yep.

Honestly, it's just a nice little feel-good sports/pop culture story at a time when we have plenty of serious, not so feel-good issues going on. People are gonna talk about it.

IDGAF. Gaza is an enormous news story. That entire region is on the brink of a a very long, widespread war that we're in the middle of.

...and that would be one of the not so feel-good stories that I was talking about.

I've seen plenty of coverage about other things today, the Gaza stuff included. Granted, I've only been watching MSNBC, so I dunno what the other networks have been discussing. They've been talking about LeBron, but it's been off and on. It's not like he's taken over the network.

I don't watch MSNBC unless Abby Huntsman  is on. Lately, Al Jazeera and CNN are the only channels I watch.

Yeah, Krystal Ball's my favorite, but I like Abby too. I didn't know she was a (moderate) conservative. I love MSNBC, and I try to catch The Cycle whenever I can.

I used to watch CNN/Headline News for Rudi Bakhtiar and Robin Meade, but then Rudi left and they changed the Headline News format all around and started doing all these random commentary shows, and then they brought in that annoying Nancy Grace. That was the last straw for me.

I like my libbie media bias, but CNN and Al Jazeera America are probably two of the most unbiased news stations.

Wait, Abby talks? I'll watch MSNBC for election coverage and that's about it.

Al Jazeera America is the only way to go for news.

LOL. Yeah man, she's on The Cycle every weekday at 3, with Krystal and those two dudes. I would never have known that she was a conservative if I hadn't just looked it up. From what I've seen, she never really argues with the other hosts. Sometimes she and/or Krystal will make random appearances on other people's shows too, like Al Sharpton's.

I've only watched Al Jazeera America once or twice. I like a little entertainment mixed in with my news...ha ha.

AMERICA TONIGHT is the gold standard in television journalism.

The Best Buy store I was working in erupted in cheers when the announcement was made on ESPN. They even announced it over the PA system in the store. It was kind of cool, being his hometown area and all.
