The Daly Planet

Hate to say it, but NASCAR is still livin in the 60's when it comes to the media. In the old days, they conerd the market, and if you wanted to get creditials, you HAD to deal with them. Since the interest wasn't that high, they controlled who printed or said what about whom........ If they didn't like what you said, you weren't allowed back. Same with the drivers. But now, demand is sooooo high, NASCAR can't waive that mighty sword they once did, and there are soooo many news outlets reportin sooooo much info, they can't contain it.and with the advent of the interent, EVERYONE can be a reporter.........
They REALLY do need to get back on top of it though...... I know every once in a while, I read somethin that one of the guys from NASCAR.com posts, I think, boy, if they worked for me they wouldn't have said that..... but they can't even really control their own site, much less other media...... NASCAR has alot of growin to do.............

what were they drinkin or smokin when the decided to sell the rights to one of the main things that is their image their website! Websites are everything for businesses these days and they sold their image to a corporation till 2014. So January 1st 2015 the image of nascar is going to change entirely?

Can someone please post the article. It's blocked at work, along with every other website.

It's a she. And only time Andy talks to her is if she calls in a work order.

Speedwayphoto really said it best. No need to elaborate, but that is truly the way things were for far too many years.
