I want to talk about Willie Mullins, who just finished second in the ARCA race.

He's actually a road racer out of Virginia and, up until a few years ago, only ran in ARCA races at New Jersey. He converted one of his old SCCA cars into an ARCA car and took it to Daytona a couple years ago, finishing eighth.

Last year, they teamed up with Darrell Basham and ran most of the races. In one of the races, Willie and Dinah (now his wife, they got married last fall) actually put Robert Bruce in a car. Bruce didn't bring a check to them and they cashed it. They put him in the car because he helped them at the shop.

Remarkably low budget team with no "full-time employees," just people who help out during the week.

So cool to see Willie finish second. Honestly, the story of the race and the best underdog story at Daytona in years.

Not a big ARCA fan.. I mean it's good just don't follow it... Do they just keep lining them up every time they wreck on the white flag lap?

Just got off the phone with them, never heard people so excited about a second place finish ever. To them, this was like winning the 500.

Great story man. Made me feel the same way when I read Harvick's tweet about being excited to be behind the wheel again. Fans have to know that the players give a ****. It's awesome.
