Have not heard who the replacement will be, but Mr. Julow has been a staunch supporter of Chrysler's racing dfforts for the past three years. Hopefully the emphasis will continue in his absence.

Dodge Motorsports VP Resigns
James Julow, the vice president of motor sports at Chrysler Group, has
resigned and will leave the automaker on Dec. 1. Mr. Julow is well-known and
respected among Dodge dealers as the man who returned Dodge to Nascar last
year in a unique partnership with dealers. In the late 1990s, he also
persuaded dealers to run national TV commercials regionally to help build
the brand with a consistent message. Mr. Julow joined the marketer in 1987
when his former employer, American Motors Corp., was acquired by Chrysler.
He headed Dodge Division as vice president and general manager from April
1998 until a Chrysler Group reorganization this past June.

Yeah, but they might be gaining a new one. Looks like Penske will make an announcement on Sunday regarding his decision about going to Dodge.......

Winston Cup Scene is reporting the announcement not this Sunday, but on the 13th at Lowes during the races at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

No official confirmation of any announcement.

If the Chrysler Corp loses its focus on racing it won't matter one iota who has teams and who does not. No indication that this might happen but anytime a upper management change occurs which involves those who promote the racing side the fears arise.

I don't think Chrysler is going anywhere soon. As long as they are competitive in Cup, they will stay. Especially if they do get Penske.

HS,

I'm not sure if my imagination is playing tricks with me here, but I thought there was a heads up about this a few months back...hmmm...and a German fella would be come involved????...to give more push to the motorsports efforts????

...a BIG rumor from the HATER of rumors.

The dodge boys are losing more than just Jim as a friend. As of late, it seems that they cannot keep up with the other makes, espicially ford. Nascar has got to get it together with making these makes fair. But I guess there will always be someone to complain about this or that ...
