Wooo! Max Papis is in the 500. That guy is so humble and cool. He really drove his ass off with old tires.

Just got in the dor and missed the first one. Bu I see Mr. Excitement himsefl won...:yawn

I listened to both races on the radio and just as I walked in the home door, Kahne won that second race. I was sure that Martin and Jr. would do just as they did, see how the car ran up front and then let everyone go on by to save their cars. Just makes you wonder how they will do in the big race.

Jr had damage on 3 out of 4 corners of the car also.

I heard that on the radio. I'll wager one thing though, you won't see him give up on Sunday if he has three of four fenders damaged. He's got a top starting spot and he got enough experience at the beginning of the race.

Jr. will suck again and finish towards the back.

What a tough crowd we have here. I watched some great racing today and enjoyed every lap. I am not a big JR fan but I think he will do just fine this next Sunday.

I really liked the fact that there was a lot of passing all the way through the field.

If Jimmie Johnson wins this race I will not watch another race this year. If Jr doesn't win which he probably won't I'd like to see a first Daytona 500 win for Mark Martin Tony Stewart Martin Truex Jr or Kasey Kahne

The first race was pretty boring but the second was good. Not sure why they have a victory lane for a duel race though.....

I was glad to see Max Papis race his way in to the Daytona 500.

When Jimmie won, I felt like I flashed back to 2009, 2008, 2007 & 2006. I'm not to excited about going through another Jimmie Johnson year. That win was with their backup car, right?

It was good to see Khane win at Daytona. Was that his first restrictor plate win? I didn't hear an explanation as to why Jr's car was damaged. I might have missed it but what happened?

Overall, I liked the racing. The new G/W/C rule did not come into play. The 'Yellow Line' didn't cause controversy. There wasn't wrecking all over the track because of the relaxed bump drafting rules as predicted by many of the media type. Just good racing. :beerbang:

i enjoyed both races. kudo's to nascar for putting on a good show. they don't get many so thought i'd throw in one. <g> hope this is a trend (good racing) that continues all season.

I enjoyed the racing yesterday. I think the new restrictor plate helped make the racing better by giving the drivers more throttle control.

I'm really looking forward to the 500.
