It has certainly been a year that wasn't supposed to be from the drop of the hat. With the huge loss that Michigan started out with, to the following weeks of the number one teams being knocked off, how many people believe that this years champ will be undefeated? There are now only five undefeated teams, two of which aren't even in the top ten, Kansas and Hawaii. The other three are one, two and three. While Ohio State has a reputation to uphold, it's the likes of South Florida and Boston College that have really shocked the countries sports enthusiasts. So let's look at the major problems in the way to stay undefeated.

Ohio State's last four games are not the easiest part of their schedule starting at Penn State. PSU was thought to be a tougher team than it has been, but nonetheless, that is not going to be a push over team. Then there's Wisconsin at home. Another very tough team who is now ready to right themselves after losing two straight. Next will be at home vs. Illinois who lost this past week to Iowa, but is another surprise team. And finally, the season ends with the biggest rivalry of the conference at Michigan. If OSU is still undefeated when they visit the Wolverines, I know all those OSU fans will be biting their fingernails, waiting to see if they will be heading to the Championship game.

South Florida has what might be considered a much tougher remaining schedule tha OSU with the likes of Cincinnati and UConn both with only one loss and Rutgers and Louisville two very good teams with two losses. The other two teams they face should be no problem for the Bulls.

Boston College will also have it's hands full with some very hungry teams to play them. Virginia Tech is next and that will at the Hokies and should probably be the toughest game for them and could be a preview of the ACC championship game. However, waiting in the wings will be games at home vs. Florida State and then on the road with games with Clemson and Maryland. Those three games are inner conference games and if they lose two of them and Wake Forest wins their remaining games, Wake could be once again going to the championship game. BC will not be looking ahead in any of their remaining games for sure. One at a time.

With all that in mind, it's going to be a stretch to see any team go undefeated this year, but OSU probably has the edge in my opinion. But those pesky Wolverines will certainly put a damper on the feeling.

Great season so far. Who knows anything? :beerbang:

Were not afraid of that team up north. Can't wait to beat them at the big house.
