..to Toyota in 2007 will be Penske. Doesn't he already field 2 Toyota cars in the IRL? Gil de Ferran and Helio Castroneves. Both have had great success over the years with Toyota.. why not try it in Cup? What do ya'll think??

Penske will make the switch, but I think that the first announced team will be Ganassi; they have already announced a partnership in building a shop in N.C. for Toyota development - don't have a link but it was announced several months ago (Feb/March). Still suprising that Dodge didn't do anything, but I guess they still need top level teams to run cars right now.

I've heard that many Chevy teams are helping Toyota's Engine Program. Dont be surprised if you see a high profile team from there make the jump.

Just as long as DEI and RCR doesn't switch, I'll be ok.

I also hope it doesnt happen, but they'll kick alot of rear ends if they do go to Toyota. I said in a previous post that Toyota is being helped to get into NASCAR and being helped deliberately by NASCAR just like Dodge was when they came back in 2001. Plus, Toyota's got all this financial power, it wont be pure dominance but it'll be enough to take home manufacturers championships.

Realistically, I think Bill Davis Racing will enter Toyota's Realm. Dodge sued them, now they got nowhere to go unless they plan on going back to Pontiac or make a new move to Chevy. On the side, Davis is also being funded by Toyota since Dodge bailed on them.

Bill Davis Racing is the first one to go to Toyota for sure!! It is seeled. When they get here, Davis is going there. Toyota is giving money to BDR right now, since they were sued by Dodge.

I have to agree with Ward22. I feel it will be Bill Davis for sure.

BDR was sued by Dodge? I just thought that Dodge cut off all the factory support for BDR?

Anyhoo, it will be Ganassi. He already had teamed up with James Finch...owner of the #1 Busch team, who happens to be building a Toyota truck for competition next season. Gannasi has been helping out Finch in return for puttin his driver in the #1 for most of the Busch races this season that are companion to WC dates. I read it in a newsletter that I receive in my e-mail, but have since deleted it, so I don't have a source...sorry. :(

Dodge is sueing BDR for supposedly providing data, staff, wind tunnel testing help to Toyota. Oh, and providing Toyota a motor for their wind tunnel test, also.

Just some insider dealing, theyre lending stuff to Toyota so when Toyota comes in, they'll be number 1 on their priority list
