Old movie, just finished watching it. A friend of mine at work lent me this movie, but his DVD was damaged and so I decided to get it from Netflix. As an old Okie, it touched home, but my ancestors decided to stick around rather than head out to California.

The movie was very good and I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't find it to be the best movie of all time as my friend described to me. I do think that it's subject matter does affect the viewer and his/her value of the movie. Those days had plenty of labor problems, not just in California, but all across the country.

I liked that movie, also, buck.
No matter how many times I see it, the part about the dance and the infiltrators coming in to cause trouble, just makes me mad.

Kat, I never read the book but I know that books normally are better than the movies they spawn.

TRL, I agree with that, and what a great idea of the people to deal with that threat. If more level headed people took control of situations all around, most of the strife would be missed.
