Is there no penalty for the leader jumping the restart? Johnson was gone before they got out of turn 4.

Yes, there is a penalty for the leader jumping the start and Rusty Wallace did so and at Martinsville. I didn't see Jimmie jumping however, but you've got much better eyes than I do, not to mention opinions.

It was odd though. First thing I said when he shot out of a cannon off of 4 was "is that a legal restart?"

Guess NASCAR thought it was and that's all that matters.

I forgot the Start/Finish line was closer to turn 4 (like Richmond) than at other tracks (Rockingham).

I don't think Junyer was going to make an attempt to win - not when his HMS teammate is chasing another championship.
