here in Austin said last night and again this morning... He uses three computer models to help forcast the weeks weather in advance. ALL THREE say Austin will get rain every day until July 13th!
We have passed our yearly average total already. As I type rain is falling at 2 inches an hour.
Betsy:(

DFW is 2 inches above the 05 and 06 annual totals...and they've missed out on some of the rain we've gotten. So we're probably closer to 35 inches.

Start digging holes and building resevoirs. Geez, everyone's panicking about rising sealevels. This is the perfect chance to grab that water while it's fresh and keep it outta the ocean.

Something I been wondering about. Rivers. They been flowing for as long as I can remember. And we've constantly been hearing about there not being enough rain. You'd think those suckers would dry up at some point. I mean they dumping a lot of fresh water into the ocean. More thans being replaced by rain. I figger there must be a helluva filter that takes out the salt as the water is recycled thru the Earth.
I gots a little cement pond that does something like that.

But are you guys still in a draught? Sorry, but I just had to say that. Seems that when something like this happens, they always tell the people that even though there is so much rain, it is coming down so fast and furious, that it runs off and doesn't do any good, thus when in a draught, it's still in a draught.

Well here we are. July 3rd and it has rained EVERY DAY! The forcast is for 3 to 7 inches from now till tomorrow midnight.
All of our highland Lakes are FULL! Everything that can be flooded IS. With a little BAD luck as to where the bigest rains fall the Colorado River may reach heights not seen since 1937! With some good luck the rains that are the worst will not fall into the Colorado's water shed.
All the 4th celebrations are scheduled but...who knows what rain may fall.

DFW NBC says every day of 7 day forcast says rain. Meanwhile i can't mow and we have grass getting 3 feet tall.
