Now, I don't even play golf, but always catch highlights of the Masters if there isn't any racing on TV.

Arnold Palmer's retireing, Jack Nicklaus thinking about the same, Tiger got a hole in 1 during practice, etc.

I was pretty disappointed that several of my favorites missed the cut and are done. John Daly missed the cut by 1 stroke, Darren Clarke missed it by 2, Mike Weir missed it by a lot after a disasterous round. Jack Nicholas had a nice first round, but missed the cut by like 1 stroke. :(

Tiger had a bad first day, but shot a 69 friday to get right back in the mix. Phil Michelson is sitting at -3 after 2 rounds and is right where he wants to be. It would be nice to see Phil win his first major this weekend. :)

I was impressed by the respect given to Arnold Palmer at every hole. You could tell that he was touched by the fans response him. I'll miss seeing him play, but he has earned his retirement. I just wonder if the young players realize how much they owe to men like Arnold and Jack.

Thanks for the great memories, Arnie!!

I gave up golf years ago without a struggle or any withdrawals. Still, the Augusta course is one of the most beautiful, serene, picturesque spots on the planet, and for that reason alone I try to watch some of The Masters. If I have a "favorite" golfer, it's probably Duffy Waldorf simply for his flair and attitude, but I really don't care who wins. I just love the scenery at most of the courses.

The only golf I'll watch is The Masters. I just love seeing the guys trying to tame that beautiful course.

Amen Corner has to be the toughest set of holes in the world.
