We were told today that Kyle now has 97 wins in NASCAR.

Of course, when any other driver wins a race in any series, we're only told how many wins they have in that respective series alone.

Going down and claiming Kyle's wins in minor league races and counting them towards his win total is just like Alex Rodriguez going down to double A baseball and claiming all his home runs there and counting them towards his HR total in the majors.

I wish the FOX Sports crew would just come down on him already.

You obviously don't remember Dick Trickle and how he was credited with over 1,000 NASCAR wins. Kyle isn't the first to have this bestowed upon him.

Of course, another stat also forgotten is that Kyle Busch has started more races in the minor leagues while running Spitcup than any other driver. It would only make sense, seeing as he is running top-tier equipment against (at least in Trucks) teams operating on an ARCA budget, that he wins often in the minors. It's just like the Yankees playing AA Bowie.

Perhaps this is why Kyle and Carl have never won championships in Cup -- because they focus on winning minor league championships.

Andy, I guess you forget that Edwards is also running yet another full NNS season for the sole purpose of winning races. You act as though KB is the only one doing that. You're blind hatred is really getting old.

Did you see my above post?

During the truck race they said he has won 69 races, but that was before the finish of the race. You are going to drive your self goofy if you don't quit worrying so much about what Kyle Bush does or does not do. It's pretty obvious that you can't stand the kid, but I think that I can pretty safely say that he is not going to quit winning races just because you don't like him. So this is going to be a no win situation for you.:growl:

They really don't credit him with cup wins. They do emphasis, "across all three series." I am not defending him, but it's still damn impressive to get 100 wins. Earnhardt Sr. raced alot in Busch, has did Mark Martin. No one complained when their wins were counted

Keselowski, Harvick and Bowyer have also won nationwide championship while in cup. Why just complain about Kyle and Carl?

Yes I did, yet all your vile is focused towards KB. It gets old, that's all.

And what of Harvick? He spent plenty of time focusing on the minor leagues as well

Then you obviously looked over the part where I called out Edwards.

And you forget Harvick scored the most points last year, had the most top-ten finishes and the best average finish.

Keselowski is a flash in the pan, he and Logano will both be back in Nationwide-only soon enough. And I don't care about Bowyer one way or the other.

Because the networks never came on and told us, everytime they won a minor league race, that they have won 97 races (69 races -- no clue where NASCAR got 97 unless they're now counting ARCA, CRA and late model feature wins as well) and are going to catch Richard Petty.

Kyle will probably win 200 races across three divisions, and when he does, NASCAR will coronate him "Greatest driver in the history of motorsports" -- but it doesn't change the fact that they're crowing A-Rod for hitting the most home runs because they're counting his record in AAA Calgary.

They're great accomplishments, but the media's using a totally different scale to weigh his accomplishments against Petty, Pearson and Earnhardt. As a result, they're pimping something that's not there -- see above reference to A-Rod. FOX Sports would never dream of saying A-Rod has 657 home runs and is three home runs away from tying Willie Mays. But they do it all the time with Kyle Busch.

I guess they counted them like this
cup- 21
nationwide-48
trucks-28
add them all together and you get 97.

Oh, I forgot he's won like 15 minor league races already this season.

But if this is the game we're really going to play, I'm going to count Mark Martin's 4 ASA Championships, 5 IROC Championships and his countless victories in those divisions as well since Trucks weren't around until 1994 (look up Winter Heat).

Of course, what the Kyle lovers are ignoring is the substance of this message. Yes Carl runs Nationwide too much as well, but they don't total his wins across all three divisions whenever he wins a Nationwide race.

Go ahead.

My bad, I forgot Mark's three exhibition race wins.

Point is, FOX's lame attempt to crown Kyle Busch "the greatest driver ever of all time in the history of NASCAR to step inside a racecar" is using some faulty math.

Hell, we can start having the discussion if Kyle wins three or more championships in CUP.

Kyle Busch reminds me of that saying "Jack of all trades, Master of none."

I already quit watching Trucks because of the ass.

Only reason I watch Crappywide is because I don't get to see the Cup races, ever, now that my boss has decided I have to work Sundays from 12pm-11pm.

Its worth every penny I paid him to put you on Sundays.... not to have you post

OK Andy, I will go slow so you can understand why the media keeps mentioning the fact that Kyle has won 97 races in the top three.

Mark Martin has been racing in the big three for forty years and has 96 wins in cup, nationwide and the trucks. Basically he has won two races a year.

Carl Edwards has been racing in the big three for eight years and has won 57 races in truck, cup and nationwide. That works out to winning seven races a year.

Kyle has been racing in the big three for eight years and has won 97 races. That works out to 12 races a year.

If you read this twice I think you will understand.

Richard Petty has gotten 200 CUPS win and seven CUPS Championships, when Kyle Busch....or any other driver can claim to beat that record, then I'll stop the *****ing.

Until then, Kyle Busch is just a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None."

The king raced 35 years and won over 200 races. That is about 6 races per year and for about 15 years he was racing 50 events a year.

KB at an average of twelve wins per year and 35 years of racing.... :D

Count as many and whatever wins for anybody that you want to. Heck count all their go cart wins, I don't care.
But you don't have to get so pissy when you get something wrong and somebody corrects you.

Dude, seriously. You mention Edwards and Harvick like once. You say Kyle's name more than Fox does.

Whine whine whine!

No one is saying that Kyle Bush is the greatest race car driver ever. He is just the best right now.:)

The best right now? Obviously I disagree.

As much as I hate to say it, Jimmie Johnson is the best right now and one of the greatest ever.
Jimmie is a good driver. But he also has one of the best crew chiefs of today.

Thats a weak argument. Like saying "well if you put Johnson in a Tommy Baldwin car he wouldnt be as good".

JJ's better at winning titles, no question at all. And a much nicer guy.

Is he the ( indefinable) sheer 'wheelman' Kyle is though?

Logic can't answer that, unfortunately.

My personal ,non logic based opinion is hell-to-the-no. JJ ain't half the pure driver Kyle is.

Try to keep up with me here. If I was arguing, then I wouldn't have agreed that he is a good driver.:growl:

You hit the nail on the head. :beerbang:

Andy's just envious of Busche's success, he's younger than him and has more money than him, not to mention Kyle's got a really hot wife. Everything Andy hasn't got.

I actually cheered when Kyle took the lead last night, and then won. Kyle reminds me of another driver I watched back in the late 80s and throughout the 90s. Andy's just pissed because Kyle wins too much, well in his mind anyway, just like a lot of people hated Dale Sr. because he won so much.
