Goes to the 47 of course, runner up is the 18 AGAIN for his remark " next week we'll be at a REAL RACE. What a douchebag, he will never ever ever be a ........................... (fill in the blank) and will always be a ........................

Overall this was an extremely clean restrictor plate race weekend. No driver sticks out in my mind as being a bonehead (Allmendinger had a huge run, got loose, and really could do nothing except hope he wouldn't spin Elliott).

My bonehead award would go to NASCAR for throwing that early caution when Larson got into the wall. My anti-bonehead award would go to the ARCA officials who decided to NOT throw the caution in 2 instances where there was large visible debris on the apron (and waited a good 5 seconds after a wreck on the initial final lap). Maybe NASCAR should hire the ARCA people to decide when to throw cautions.

The 47 for causing the big one and not owning it. However with RP racing it is bound to happen so can't really hang it on him too hard.

kyle is right, plate tracks suck.
could be fixed with elimination heats 25 laps each.

If they have to depend on gimmicks that'd be a great way to do it.

Just imagine the exciting action of lap 22 on.

Yet, every year, every driver and all the commentators talk about Atlanta being the first real race of the season or the true start of the season.

This place for being unbearable any week there's a plate race.

Absolutely. Jesus Christ. It's 4 ******* races a year. You'd think folks were tied to their chairs at gunpoint and forced to watch Talladega.

Not everyone likes plate racing. I get it. It ebbs and flows for me. But good lord the butthurt on this forum is obnoxious. It's still NASCAR. It's been a part of the sport for 30 years. It's not going anywhere. Suck it up.

Yes, and YES.

Almendinger still had trouble taking full responsibility for pushing Clyde loose, then bumping him off-center and wrecking the field. AJ was on Race Hub with the big screen, clumsily explaining himself.

Kyle Busch insulting the proud Alabama NASCAR crowd was truly undignified and classless. They should throw Kyle another "Logano Party" next time he wanders onto the "Talladega Boulevard" later this year...

It goes both ways, one side wants to convince everyone it's easy and contrived and the other needs to convince everyone it's a tremendous test of driver talent and takes no luck whatsoever. I don't know how there's almost no middle ground at these places and why it needs to turn into a pissing match every time one rolls around. I've said my piece on plate racing in the Xfinity plate racing at IMS thread and don't see any need to rehash all the time.

You mean Allgaier for not following pit road protocol there was no reason for him to be inside of Kasey.
TIL Allgaier has massive electromagnets on the passenger side of his race car that pulled Kasey into him.

I am going with Kahne for Saturday's pit road incident.

Looks like I'm goin' with him in the Pick'Em thing for the upcomin' motorsports entertainment thing in Kansas.........

Someday, I have to seriously question some of these decisions.......................

Good luck to ya.

Definitely Allmendinger. Everyone knows you can't bump draft someone in the left rear, especially in the turns.
