The Milestones of Jeff Gordon & Jimmie Johnson

Personally, I'd rather see Gordon end his career with 90+ victories rather than earn a 5th championship. A win is a win. Plain & simple. Its earned the same way it was earned when Petty was on the track. The championship since the chase has been a joke.

JJ can have all the 10 race chase championships he can fit in his garage. He aint never gonna have the coveted winston cup championship :D

A very good perspective on their careers.

I agree, but honestly, would you be "enjoying history" if you weren't a Hendrick fan? Don't go nuts....I am just asking....
If I was a fan of another driver...then yeah I could see where Jimmie winning would be irratiating.

Thanks for understanding my question and not going off.....I honestly don't mind it. I think that Jeff and Jimmie have been great for the sport, and I want my guys to beat them while they are still winning. A couple of all time greats for sure.

NASCAR will lose alot when Jeff retires. No one (maybe in NASCAR history) can even come close to him when it comes to being a consistently winning driver for this long.

JJ is catching his records, but he wont have the longevity that Gordon has simply due to age. Jeff started way younger than Jimmie.

Side note: if Jeff and Ray would have stayed together, Jimmie Johnson wouldn't have half of his current accomplishments.
