I don't know how many of you remember "Cosmos" with Carl Sagan. The revival, hosted by Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson is superb. Dr. Tyson has the same enthusiasm and ease of manner that Dr. Sagan had.

At the end of the first show, Dr. Tyson revealed that in 1975 he spent the day with Dr. Sagan at Cornell in the lab. Showed the book that Dr. Sagan inscribed to him. Made him more determined than ever to be a scientist.

The first show replays tomorrow night --- on the National Geographic Channel if you're interested.

Next show is next Sunday night on Fox.

Worth watching.

I'll have to check out the rerun. I was watching Resurrection and completely forgot about Cosmos.

I like Dr. Tyson and expect he'll make a great host. But I was disappointed by this first episode. No news in any of it - all stuff we learned in Middle School science and history classes. But I'll let 'em slide and see how the second episode goes. Got to start somewhere, so I guess they were just trying to set a baseline.

That's the impression I got, also. Kind of an opening act.
