The NHRA won't like this

The axle broke in half. They came back and ran the quickest pass ever in Australia with a 4.503 et. Here is another view.
 
ND, aren't the axles full floaters, to keep this from happening? I thought anything faster than a 6.00 cert had to be full float.

Yes, but from a picture that I seen, it looks like the floater failed also.

I talked to Lee Beard at Vegas and he told me that they were running the old 32 spline Strange rear end in Australia when the axle broke.
