The Power of Prayer

This is the first part.

I need your Prayers
I come to you guys tonight a humble and very troubled man.

Many of you have met my wife Rose.

Rose and I found out tonight that she has cancer.

It is a form of "female trouble" cancer that I can not even pronounce. It happens when the afterbirth attaches itself to the uterus and forms cancer.

Most times this cancer can be treated with either chemotherapy, or a complete hystorectamy. I will take either one right now.

We go on Wednesday to have a consultation with the doctor that will be treatng her to find out how far it is advanced and what the prognosis is, along with a plan of treatment.

it is my most humble prayer that first God's will is done. I pray that, if it is in His will, the doctors will be dumbfounded to find there is really nothing there and this will be an undeniable miracle that could have only come from God.

If that is not His will, then I pray for the ability to cope. I pray for the peace of mind and understanding it will take to deal with this.

Rose is 38 and this is her first and only child. A daughter, 5 months old, Brookelynn Rose Saxon. Even though the pregnancy was the casue of the cancer, she nor I would change a thing or trade a single moment that Brooke has given us. She is truly a gift from God. And my house will remain loyal to Him and take the good along with the bad.

Please remember Rose in your prayers. And I also ask that you rpay for me as I have a burden on my shoulders now that redefines heavy.

God bless all of you. It is good to know I have a group of friends that I could get this off my chest to and know that you are all there for me.

The Power of Your Prayers
I have a story to tell you all.

As many of you know, rose was diagnosed with cancer last Thursday. We went in yesterday for a "consultation" with the doctors.
We arrived at 8 am and she was put through a COMPLETE female inspection. Everything showed normal. HMMMM
However, the doctors assured us that she had a 100% certain case of cancer and it would show up in the tests they had planned for thruought the day.

Blood work...normal

chest x ray....normal

ultrasound...normal

liver biopsy....normal

At 4pm and all these tests later, they told us that they had to do an emergency DNC. For those of you that were as ignorant as me, that is when they scrape the inside of the uterus and get tissue out.
I kept asking where is the proof that there is cancer in there. They almost were angry with me that I doubted them and said, "Sir, I wish I could tell you we were not sure, but I can honestly tell you that she HAS cancer"

They said that it would surely be evident while they examined the inside of her uterus during the performing of the DNC.

I kissed her forehead and they wheeled her off, put her under, and began the DNC.
An hour later, they came out.....4 of them.
They brought me into a "consultation" room and one of the doctors I had not met yet began, " the DNC went perfect. No bleeding. But we are very puzzled. We found NO irregularites in her uterus. We found ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that would lead us to believe that she has cancer! He then said that because of this and the PERFECT results of her other tests that there is a SMALL possibility that they misdiagnosed her ever having cancer!
I said, "no you didn't. It was there and now it's gone and that is what hundreds of prayers will do for you doc!"

Of course they said that they will not know anything for certain until the results of the biopsy from the tissue gathered during the DNC. And that will be Monday. But WORST case, even if it IS cancer, it has not spread, it is not aggressive, and it can be treated with a mild form of chemo!!

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers in our time of need. Take this time to reflect on the power of the God we serve and how wonderful he is.
Keep us in your prayers for their results on Monday.
