The Race Forums unofficial greatest Cup driver thread (the rules, and how the contest works)
The thread below links to the previous thread.
http://www.racing-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=39850
There are 48 drivers to choose from
Round one will pair three drivers against each other in 16 different brackets. The one with the most votes advances to next round.
In the event of tie, if a possible there will be a runoff thread to settle matters.
Round two should get us down to 16 finalists. They will go head to head the 1st seed against the 16th, and the 2nd seed against the 15th……
I set the seed or pecking order in round one, but round two will be seeded on votes accumulated in round one. If the votes are tied for a seed then the original seeding will be used, but as much as possible votes will drive the system.
The process will be continuing until the final two go head to head.
The pecking order or seeding process.
The drivers are ranked by cup wins, the first tiebreaker is championships, and the 2nd tiebreaker is winning percentages.

-Simply vote on each related poll
-you only get one vote per poll/bracket
-the first round of brackets will last 3 days each, voting is closed after the elapsed time
Ethics
-All votes are equal, if you vote simply for your favorites, and exclude those you personally dislike, it will only be a popularity vote.
-If possible try to vote according to who you think is genuinely the best, liked or not.
