Yes , and I think a statement was being made.Better to find out now than on Sunday.

This is a stupid rule.
If it was because of too many man over the wall than we will see 2-3 teams eliminated because of it on a weekly basis.
Was he involved in a crash?
I thought I heard Mike Joy said he couldn't continue because he had too much damage or something.

His damage was minimal if I recall.Martin Truex jr came across his nose And got spun. Slight damage to LF.

Larson finished Truex off tho.
As Smokey Yunick said...... Nascar's rulebook is too fat.... a skinny rulebook is better... The fatter the rulebook gets..... the more fans and viewership Nascar loses..... they don't want MORE rules to stifle competition... a level playing field...... that's the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard of.... all they are doing are stifling ingenuity.... Too many people over the wall and you are eliminated.... Over 5 minutes to fix your car... you are eliminated..... and they say more rule changes are coming...... everytime they make a rule change they lose viewership and attendance.... so... the knee jerk reaction is to make another rule change...... they have rule changed themselves right out of the market..........It was. They would have been 'okay' but they had too many people over the wall. Instant DNF. Hilarious.
It's always a good idea to read through newly issued rules, read them again, review them at a team meeting and go over them again at the track.
Just to be sure ...
What else was he going to do? He stood on the brakes.. and he had to go up the track to get away from the situation. Otherwise, they'd just end up stopped in the grass together lol.
He tried to, for sure.
I like controversy every now and then though.![]()
Teams don't write rules. They subvert the ones they can. This one doesn't fit into that category.Or you could just not have retarded rules. That would be way easier.
Not saying a mistake wasn't made, however.
So the real reason is the crew chief didn't keep up with the rules changes? That's kind of understandable, given this topsy-turvy off-season, but that IS his job.
