I'm glad I'll be in New York on April 29th.

From what I'm reading, the Royal Wedding is going to be televised across pretty much every single network on broadcast and cable (except Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel). :rolleyes:

You do realize that there are TV's in New York - just as there are in Maryland?;)

I WON'T be watching.

This is overkill... the American news operations send two people to Japan and say that's too much, but they're sending their entire organization to London for the wedding.

By that point, Saudi Arabia and Syria will be up in flames.
 
Why do we care about a marriage for the rulers of a country we decided to not be part of, I mean really who cares.:confused:

I have no idea. It's absolutely ridiculous.

They're not even the rulers, they're merely celebrities who sit in a large castle.

Since my trip to New York has been cancelled :( I guess I will go to Richmond for Spitcup or something. I WILL NOT watch this crap.

It's funny but I remember watching Diana and Charles's wedding and I thought it was kinda cool. Of course, I was much younger and I kinda crushed on Diana. My sisters and mom made a big deal of how beautiful and magical the whole thing was and I guess I was young enough to not be cynical. I also had no idea of the financial impact of putting on the whole production. The only thing that didn't make any sense to me was why such a stunning woman was marrying such a dorky looking dude.
