IN UNSANCTIONED SOUTHERN RANKINGS

(7/30/07) -- Well it happened... The top two of the UNSANCTIONED SOUTHERN RANKINGS went head to head during the Southern Regional Conference guidelined events of Ray Cook's SOUTHERN NATIONALS. The NEWPORT NIGHTMARE Jimmy Owens didn't dissappoint at his home track in Bulls Gap, Tennessee when he won the 53 lap feature. Owens and fellow TEAM ZERO mate Chris Madden even provided some fireworks on the track. Dennis RAMBO Franklin meanwhile, calmly put up solid performances, both nights with a fourth Friday, followed by a runner-up finish at the TAZ on Saturday. Sooo... Owens showed! But who really won??? I think you HIGH BANKED hounding racefan won, to be honest. ThankX to the likes of Ray Cook who puts this tour together. Makes me wonder... SUMMERNATIONALS vs. SOUTHERNNATIONALS
Madden rocked the house(s) with the # 44 "Century Plastics, VP Racing Fuels, Anderson Amusements" sponsored Bloomquist Team Zero chassis, Clements power-planted, Chevrolet Monte Carlo all the way thru this Saturday being very tough on all competitors. KUDO's to Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN for winning the UNRANKABLE (due to being under the minimum $5,000 to win) SRC guidelined event this past weekend in Chattanooga, TN as well as Chris Wall, whom was in Tennessee for some valuable late season event, seat-time, taking $3,000 from the Meridian, Mississippi's track. August roars in like a lamb this coming weekend with the only SRC guidelined event taking place at Columbus, MS, as Johnny Stokes has corralled up four (4) touring series for one night of action at his BULL RING.
