Matt Kenseth could repeat. The 'Anti-Jr' could actually win the first Nextel Cup to put on the shelf next to the last Winston Cup.

Man..I wonder if Nascar has a contingency plan in case that happens! ANOTHER rules/points system change maybe? Cant let 'Yankee Jack Roush' rule the world now can we? ;)



But oh wait I forgot.....it's just COINCIDENCE that it's changing right after Roush wins the title. Oh yeah. Yep. Right. Coincidence.

Actually, I think the #97 has a pretty good chance under this system...

Not my pick for the championship, but I think he's shown he can get an a roll late in the year (re:2002).

i think richard petty will come out of retirement (can't do any worse than kyle) and be the dark horse winner of the first Nextel (gag) cup.

Matt Kenseth won ROTY in '00 & the Cup in '03.
Who was that guy who won ROTY in '01?

Here's another driver that didn't fit the ROTY to winning first Cup in 4 years,Jeff Gordon is the 1993 Winston Cup ROTY,but won first Cup in 1995,He was running faster than those other Guys,eh? :lol:

I'll pick Jeff Gordon to win the first Nextel Cup and His 5th overall Championship!!! :D Watch out for Jimmie Johnson though :lol:
