The entry list shows 48 cars for the Sylvania 300 this weekend.

The list of usual suspects plus some who are now and again:

02 Hermie Sadler with GoTeamVa.com as sponsor
27 Scott Wimmer with YJ Stinger on a Bill Davis entry
146 Carl Long with Glenn Underwater Services on the Glenn owned car
179 Rich Bickle with SBC Smart Pages on the Jon Conely entry
189 Morgan Shepherd in his car with the Racing With Jesus logos

Should everyone show up 5 teams will ride the trouble train before Sunday.

02 is 46th
189 is 54th
27 is 57th
146 is 67th
179.....depends....could be no points or 59th

150 is 47th
49 and the 4 are out of provs.

Time to go fast or go home.

why do these guys even try to race in cup?
does NASCAR give out more money to the field fillers or something?

Hopefully a team out of that list that is capable of completing the entire race can make it in on Qualifying.

Finishing last place in a Winston Cup pays more than I make in three years

LOL, In that case, does anyone want to help me get a Winston Cup team up and running ?

You also need $200,000 for a car and I think the entry fee is $15,000

The reason why (we) Morgan Shepherd racing becuase its 1,500 to enter the race and if we make the field and finish 43 we still came out on top with 5,000 dollars or whatever the last person gets.

The car cost more then that just for the body and the entry fee is cheap.

Good grief wlfyk....

Are you seriously trying to say that the body on a WC costs over $200,000??

Gimme a break here, ain't even buying that one. For a whole lot less than that you can put yerself in a pretty dem good car, including chassis, engine, and body plus likely buy enough tires to run the race. For that kind of money you can likely lease a top 15 or top 10 caliber car.

Todd Bodine made 46.7 G's last week as the lowest paid entry at Richmond.

While some low budget part timers can get by on that IF they don't break the car and head for the garage prior to burning it all up in tires and gas, for the most part from my understanding it is a losing proposition.

While I am not privvy to Morgan's reason's I would guess that he like the others is hoping against hope that they just might hit the set-up combo and have a run worth writing home about.

You don't know anything about racin do you ?

If you really do work for Morgan that tells me why he runs so poorly.

Good to see Carl Long attempting a race again. He looks as if he could be competitive but he has yet to get in a competitive car.

And...I hope the 4 car makes it to. I like that kid Sauter.

and i guess next your going to tell us you guys run a bush car in winston cup because of the limited budget.

but you really need to quit embarrassing yourself it makes Morgan look bad

Interesting to note that the five teams that went home were actually the five slowest in qualifying.
