The year is more than half over already

It's been a rough year here but in many ways it's been one of the best years ever. i started taking some online college classes and i just got a new job. i'm also expecting some money to be coming my way soon, if the money gods decided to take pity on me. :o


Has this been a good year for you, a rough one or a mixed one?
 
Congratulations on the job.

This year has been a little rough around my house. We're retired --- the money stays the same, but the expenses keep rising.
 
We've had our ups and downs so far this year. The lowest came last week when my best friend from the Air Force died. He was Best Man at my first wedding and was only 60. On the up side, we've been to the beach twice and will be heading back there in three weeks. Health wise, we are doing great.
 
Doing fine financialy, kids are doing ok, wife's fine but my health could be better.

Buried one of my good friends earlier this year. We'd been friends since 2nd grade well over 50 years ago. *&^%$* cancer.

I now consider the day a success if I close my eyes, voluntarily, at night:)

Hang in there Lappy. I've watched you go through many relationships. Besides, just think of it as saving money from a divorce. Go have a drink on me...maybe two but don't over do it! :beerbang:
 
I have to say, it's been a pretty good year. Been to lots of races, ad other than the lack of rain, it's been pretty good here.
 
So far, it had been a pretty mediocre year for me until last weekend. I sat and talked to my son for about three hours. It's the longest amount of time that I've spent with him since he was about four years old. Circumstances beyond my control "separated" us for quite some time. Things are looking up for the both of us and we have a lot of catching up to do. It's been a long time since I've said, "Life is good." :)

That's true Buck, but this one is totaly differnt before. I don't want to go in to details on here, but it honestly sucks this time buddy. :( I could use a few tho.
