unknown plans for thses teams:
01,02,15,40,60

No sponsors in 2009 for the full season on the following FULL time rides (13):
#'s 00,7,8,10,21,22,28,38,39,42,43,44,96

So, here's what I can figure for full time funded teams next year:

07 Mears
1 Truex
2 Busch
5 Martin
6 Ragan
9 Kahne
11 Hamlin
12 Stremme
14 Stewart
16 Biffle
17 Kenseth
18 Busch
19 Sadler
20 Lagano
24 Gordon
26 McMurray
29 Harvick
31 Burton
33 Bowyer
39 Newman
47 Ambrose
48 Johnson
55 Waltrip
77 Hornish
82 Speed
83 Vickers
88 Earnhardt Jr
98 Menard
99 Edwards

...That's only 30 teams.

Rookie of the Year Regan Smith doesn't have a ride.

AJ Allmendinger doesn't have a ride (but he'll get one).

David Reutimann doesn't have full-sponsorship despite showing a lot of promise at the end of the season.

Ken Schrader doesn't have a ride (has been rumored for about a month that he will run the full ARCA RE/MAX Series tour in 2009).

Jeremy Mayfield doesn't have a ride.

Juan Montoya doesn't have full sponsorship.

Reed Sorenson doesn't have a sponsor.

Greg Biffle doesn't have full sponsorship as things stand.

Scott Riggs and Dave Blaney don't have a ride.

No sponsor on Yates. No sponsor on Petty.

The Nationwide Series doesn't look better

Richard Childress doesn't have a full-time sponsor on the #21.

Clint Bowyer doesn't have a sponsor.

Kelly Bires doesn't have a sponsor and that team will shut down if they do not find one.

Rusty Wallace Inc. doesn't have full-sponsorship on the #64 car.

Neither of the JR MOTORSPORTS entries have sponsorship. AND KESELOWSKI WON TWO RACES:eek:

Eddie D'Hondt Motorsports has no sponsors for his Nationwide team (but Alli Owens in ARCA is fully-sponsored by Electrifying-Careers.com, IBEW and NECA). As of now, he has no plans to run Alli in the Nationwide Series this year but that could change if she does better than expected in ARCA.

Team Rensi doesn't have sponsorship and will not go to Daytona without it.

Tough times are ahead.

Actualy thats only 29. I think there is gonna be alot of field fillers next year.

I have a question can someone answer? Ok here it is we know DEI is getting rid of the #01 but that car was in the top 35 in owner points so what happends now? Do we have only 34 teams guaranteed to start come febuary or does the team in 36th get to move up into the top 35?

01 and 15 are gone but Menard is headed to Yates racing either a 3rd car or he will replace Kvapil or Gilliland if they dont secure a sponsor.

40 is also gone now that DEI and Ganasi merged. They only plans i could of seen for that team was probably a handfull of races for Bryan Clauson.

96 car is in serious trouble no sponsor and no driver and its a 1 car team.

44 i belive is gonna switch to 00 next year.

22 team has no sponsors yet and it is speculated they could release Dave Blaney if they dont find sponsorship by speedweeks.

7 Robby Gordon needs some major help as well. He no longer has a deal with Evernham and is losing his sponsor i would look to see if he merges with another team.

21 car has no sponsors and has about 10 differant names circuling around that could driver for the Wood Bros.

Part of it is because of the economy, and part of is because nascar and the teams have really let spending get out of control.

Boy it sounds like i'm typing a reply in the podium......

According to Mikey on TWIN tonight there are 2 cars in the top 35 that are going away and Nascar limits what you can do with those points. So he says the 36th and 37th positions will move up.

Jim Beam signed on again with Robby Gordon.

And if I was Chip Ganassi, I would be calling Allmendinger up for the #41 car.

Anyone else catch what AFLAC is paying for 3 years on the #99? 78 million!
Good to see insurance dollars being spent wisely in containing escalating insurance costs.:sarcasm:

I belive the #10 car passed the #77 for 37th in points at homestead.
2 cars go away, that locks the #10 car in.

So AJ Allmendinger raced 2 cars in to the top 35.

Why doesn't he have a ride?

the 10 and 84

i havent been following lately....but didnt vickers get the 84 in the top 35 the last race of the season?

i'm not trying to be smart....or did he have the car in the top 35 before he was released...but lets not forget that Skinner did drive the 84 for a few races this year also.

at the beginning of the season, the 84 was not locked in i believe?
At the beginning of the year, the #84 was not locked in and Allmendinger missed a few races because of it.

He raced it back in to the top 35 only to be released from Red Bull Racing by Red Bull. Jay Frye didn't want Allmendinger released but Red Bull wanted Scott Speed in the car following Toledo (that race where Scott Speed's temper cost him any lingering chance of a major motorsports series championship).

GEM, realizing talent when they saw it, picked up Allmendinger to finish out the season.

Dinger got the car to 37th from 300-something points outside the top 35 to 100-something and now in since 2 cars won't be returning in 2008. Allmendinger also outperformed both Red Bull cars and both of GEM's other entries in just about every race he ran. :D :XXROFL: :D
