there's a 40% chance for showers for the 125's and 50% for the 500, so let's start doing a stay away rain dance.
The scary part Bob, is that there are people who would love to watch that. Some "fans" would probably attend a 'figure 8' trackOriginally posted by boB@Feb 10 2004, 06:30 PM
redrock,
Your idea would be great if the cars were equipped to run in the rain.
I guess you haven't noticed that the current Cup cars lack such minor things as windshield wipers, defrosters, rear lights and rain tires?
I wonder if you've ever tried to drive an overpowered, aerodynamically balanced, rearwheel drive car on slick tires on a wet surface?
Obviously not.
Great idea... only because Robby Gordon would be the winner.Originally posted by redrock@Feb 10 2004, 01:22 PM
I say if it starts raining...just keep on racing until the end and let the best driver win it all!

I think that Tony Stewart would differ with you on that. He did pretty well running the Rolex 24 @ Daytona in the rain! He put the car out in front! Not bad for a rookie rain racer!Originally posted by majestyx+Feb 10 2004, 01:51 PM--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (majestyx @ Feb 10 2004, 01:51 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'>Originally posted by -RobbyG Fan@Feb 10 2004, 12:37 PM

Quick. Name one oval track series that races on pavement that runs in the rain.Originally posted by redrock@Feb 10 2004, 01:22 PM

Bob, You need to lighten up a little bit, I'm sure it was meant as a joke.Originally posted by boB@Feb 10 2004, 12:30 PM

Rain on one of those unimportant races like Bristol or Martinsville but dont rain on the greatest day of the racing year!
