NASCAR makes call on Hamilton Jr.'s 'unapproved booster seat'

FONTANA, Calif. - Who says NASCAR has no sense of humor?
A NASCAR inspector, having a little fun Saturday at California Speedway, placed an Ontario, Calif., phone book on the Nextel Cup hauler and tagged it as a violation: "Unapproved, improperly mounted seat heightening device (booster seat)."
The phone book was "confiscated" from the No. 32 Chevrolet of Bobby Hamilton Jr., who stands 5-foot-5.
Among the "real" troublesome parts confiscated this weekend by NASCAR inspectors were an unapproved rear gear ratio and side window from the No. 37 Dodge driven by Tony Raines; and unapproved side windows from the No. 22 Dodge of Scott Wimmer and No. 32 Chevrolet of Hamilton Jr.![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
