Sounds like a LOT of fun to me man.
It's in front of the crank shaft, got to take the pully off. Should not really be to bad, just depends on how much room you have the motor comparment. I know some 454's have a lot of room to get down there. We have an 87 GMC

no, notice i said front pump.
That means i get to drop the transmission and the 8 or 10 feet of driveshaft that go with it. I'm just hoping we dont find a worn band or anything else in there, i have next to no money to put into it. it's gonna be at least 50 bucks all told with fluid, seal, and bandaids.
