The thought process behind Stewart possibly leaving JGR is his ties with Chevrolet with his own personal race teams. Something I noticed during the Prelude was how big the Chevy logos are on Smoke's driving suit and the team's shirts. It may not be anything at all. But it still keeps me thinking he's going back to a Chevy team.

Im pretty sure Chevy is a major sponsor of his own teams. I noticed they were that way last year also, when i saw him at Paducah.

You have to remember that all of TSR is Chevy powered. USAC midget/sprint/silver crown, plus his WoO team and his late model team.

I know its a minor fact, but anyone else notice his armor all commercial..... isn't that a Corvette he's shining.......... all things point to GM.....

speedway, I don't think it's a Corvette, but it is definitely a GM product.

And, the Bass Pro Shops commercial with Martin Truex. Wonder how many hoops he had to jump through to do that!

dont think i've seen the BPS commercial...?

The chevy logo on the suits is the same as its been the last couple years. The two main guys you saw wearing those shirts was josh and mark richards. Mark owns rocket chassis and he and his son Josh who is also a WoO LM driver crew on tony's car when they arent racing. They have had those same uniforms for a couple years now.

What i did notice was the giant bow tie on the front end of tonys car though. I had a good laugh about that.

I remember that commercial. Cracked me up the first time I saw it. That commercial made me want to test drive one and man that car was a piece of ****. Chevy should be ashamed.

I personally think he's wanting out because he's third string around JGR now following Hamlin & now Busch. No doubt Busch is the big dog of that organization now & ol smokes airtime has dwindled to pitching subway sandwiches...he must like the meatball.:D

Because he died. It was pulled after Daytona.

Interesting. I wonder if that was done out of respect or if DEI has rights to that. I would think it was part of his contract at the time it was done and that DEI could not dictate it being banned. Respect?

The big Chevy logo on the dirt late model was the one that caught my attention first.

Saw this on Jayski's:

Zippy thinks Stewart has made his decision: While #20-Tony Stewart continues to play coy about his future, at least one person believes the two-time Cup champion already has decided what he plans to do. "I honestly think the decision's made, I just don't think we all know yet," crew chief Greg Zipadelli said. Stewart and Zipadelli are in their 10th season together at Joe Gibbs Racing in the longest active driver-crew chief combination in the garage.(ESPN/AP)(6-9-2008)
