Will they race on Sunday or will we see another rain out. The weather forecast for Sunday is 90% chance of rain in the DFW area.

National Association for Stock Cars Attracting Raindrops. The drought relief tour continues.

I could live with Darlington getting rained out next Saturday night. I'd much rather be there on a Sunday afternoon.

Well, the Weather Channel has the rain coming to an end between 5 and 6. Obviously Texas has lights, so I'm not sure when they will race. Monday has scattered thunderstorms in the forecast.

Cup and the National Championship Game in DFW/Arlington/North Texas Monday night is a bad idea.

I'm a race fan couldn't give a crap about basketball. NA$CAR needs to speak to the race fans and find out what they want to see more.

I dont watch B-ball either, race fans should come first to Nascar IMO

A wonderful question, had something to do with B-ball or something ignorant like that :(

I'm thinking that NASCAR figured with the Final Four crowd in town for Saturday and Monday night events that they'd move the race to Sunday afternoon in the hope that a few hoop fans would come out to the race.

There could only be one thing worse than turning on the TV and finding the race is under a rain delay . That is , finding out that they ran it last night to avoid the rain. :(

Why didn't they race last night? The weather was good last night.

It's a major sporting event thousands of people will attend that will be televised. They can't just decide at the last minute to run the race a day early.

"FOX, we're gonna race a day early so reschedule all of your broadcasts to air the race now"

"Sorry that we ran the race a day early while you were traveling to the track from another state, but it was gonna rain tomorrow. Try again next year, okbye thanks."

Or showing up at the track on Sunday only to see the trailers hitting the road after Saturday night's race.

It was scheduled long before this weekend. Just another example of NA$CAR bowing down to the broadcasters and other sports, and they wonder why NA$CAR's ratings are going down.

Correct, so nascar is obligated to run the race at the scheduled time and not reschedule a day early at the last minute because of a bad forecast for the scheduled time.

Probably a logistical nightmare too, with both events expecting 80,000+ in attendance.

Is this the official Duck Commander 500 pre-rain thread?

They shoulda raced out west again! It's sunny and 80 out here in SoCal.:D
