This year just seems so rough.

As I read through the post I see so much death and illnesses. I wonder if this year just seems to be off to a bad start for all a large portion of us or are we just becoming more open about it. It just seems like we really do rely on each other for support during hard times. I know y'all were great when my friend Luke passed away.
Shortly after that a few of you know I lost Wayne who was like a grandfather to me growing up. Now I read about dupont4me loosing her father-in-law, 4X's mother-in-law is ill, and I believe I read where Shady lost soemone recently. But not only I mean Maj. stresses about her job, and Gollum had his health issues we were all concerned about. Kat has a lot on her plate right now. And I think everyone knows they can find comfort in the forum family. My whole point of this post is just to say I think it is great how much everyone supports everyone else. It's just nice to see people still do care.

You're so right, Dee. We have become family here at the forum. Together we will have the strength and courage to face life and triumph. Together we will support one another, laugh with one another and cry with one another.

We are strong, we are invincible...we are family.

Very well said Nascarwoman. We have all got to look out for one another. Even if we do fuss and grumble among outselves at times/. But aint that what familys do. :D

Right you are, Dee.

This little bit of insanity here is one of the things that help keep me sane.

Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense to me. ;)

There's a LOT more to this forum than Nascar, even tho that's the original reason I joined.
Kind, careing friends sharing the good, bad and ugly, in illess and in health, to death do us part.

Hello FRIENDS! (Special wishes to  Gollum) There are many more I could say I  but you already know who you are!

PURRRRRRRRRR

I couldn't agree more everyone! I know when I'm having a bad day, I just turn to my friends here on this forum. I am usually smiling or laughing pretty good in a matter of a few minutes. Someone is always making a funny, on purpose or by accident, that is just too funny not to have a good laugh. And, then there are also those (you know who you are) that are always just a PM away! You may not answer immediately, but I know you will just as quick as you can! (Thank you for that! ) I will be turning in my resignation at my job sometime tomorrow. I will continue until the end of the month, and even though I don't have another job to start on immediately, I will. I have to have faith that things will work out for me. I cannot continue to subject myself to something that makes me physically and mentally ill. It is not healthy. As most of you are aware, and for those who aren't just read my signature, I quit smoking. The people that I work for are smokers. While that isn't the entire reason for my leaving, it is a strong contributor. It doesn't make me want to return to being a smoker, it just makes me more and more aware of just how true non-smokers really feel~
Thanks to all for the support that you give each and every day to anyone who needs it here on this forum!

I couldn't agree more with all of the things said so far in this thread. Every life has it's bad times and having someone to talk to in those times is very important.

My wife is my best friend and confidant. But after she spends the whole day at the hospital dealing with and talking about her mom's condition I try to give her a break by not dwelling on it when she wants to unwind at the end of the day. You guys and girls fill that void wonderfully and I thank you for that.

Maj, I wish you well in your search for the new job. It's a tough decision but one that I am sure that you are correct in making and doing.

That is just one of my pet pevees here in this job. Several of the other guys have used my rig and the truck reeks of tobacco smoke, so much so that I told them that before I make that Texas trip, I will be taking it to a detalier and have it shampooed and thoroughly cleaned and that the company is going to pay for it........ not me.

I'm just holding on right now but I too have reached the breaking point and will be leaving just as soon as I find something else.

Good luck to you!

Hope to still be able to meet you in Texas.

Guido, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to meet you! If not over at Speed Zone in Dallas, then at least hopefully at the track! ;)

Maj, I am not scheduled to go to the track on this trip.

If you can't make it to the Speed Zone, I'll work something out to meet up with you in the daytime since my shows are in the evening.

I'll send you my cell # and we'll work something out. :)

Everyone on here is great and I know you all will there for me when I need it. I too had been thinking that everyone was having a bad start to the year. It's just a comfort knowing I can turn to you all when I need to. :lilangel: Thanks to you all for the support!

There are things that happen in life over which we have no control such as life and death.

Then there are things that happen by our own hand and we can control, such as Majestyx leaving her job. Usually when these choices are made with due consideration rather than anger, they turn out for the best.

The people on this forum give it a unique character and offer more respect and courtesy among one another than any of the other forums ever visited.
Perhaps the bottom line is, if you want to antagonize and argue just for that purpose, there are forums where these traits are acceptable.
If you enjoy reasonable debate and a shared respect, dis is da place and here we clean our own house. :D
