So he's been in 13 races this year. I thought he was in 2 or 3 because the cameras are never on him. Do you think he'll live up to the hype when he moves to Jack's team next year?

So far this year seems to be a big flop besides the D500.

He's a whole lot better than he has been showing. I have a feeling all the focus is on what the #6 car want's and needs to make his car faster. Next year will probably be Trevor vs Ricky for the championship.

Trevor is just never consistent. Watch him in the nationwide series and you will see that one week he's top 5 and the next he can't stay in the top 15. I believe he should stay in Nationwide another year before moving to Cup full time.

Give him time, I think he will do just fine. I remember a kid that was racing trucks a few years ago and then NASCAR raised the minimum age. Dang, I wish I could remember his name. Anyway, he made a big comeback and has done quite well for himself.

He was sick for a couple of months, and now he usually doesn't have a sponsor other than Ricky vs Trevor.com. It's a low budget team that i'm sure gets left over cars and left over pit crew members, etc.

Brad Keselowski? :beerbang:

Are you talking about his nationwide team is low budget or his cup? His Nationwide team sure isn't lol

I think Bayne will be just fine. I think he has been under a bit of a microscope after winning the 500....it was the greatest thing that ever happened to him, and at the same time a bit of a bad thing because of the scrutiny he has been held under. I think he will shape up to be a pretty good little wheeler for the most part...

Really? Who's his sponsor? It's the poorest team at Roush right now. You really think Jack is going to dump $3 million of his own money into an unsponsored team? Jack got Trevor by promising a full season, not by promising he would go broke doing it.

I'm betting that the driver you are referring to had a premium CUP ride with Hendrick at one time - and was allowed (asked) to move on to another team. Am I getting warm?

;)

Trevor's biggest problem is that he won the Daytona Crapshoot 500... That's hard to live up to for anybody! Just look at what it did to Derrike Cope.

Trevor who? Even a crippled blind guy can win the lottery. Trevor won the lottery at Daytona. He's a good kid that probably has a good future. But it's going to be a few years until we know if he is the real deal.

Its like people expected him to go out and win everytime with the Wood Brothers after Daytona (a plate race remember before he got dumped Dave Blaney was leading late at Dega) the 21 wasn't going to be really competitive anywhere else they've won what 5 races since the 70's?

Keep in mind that Trevor hasn't raced a full season in Nationwide yet. I've been hearing he'll take over the 60 car in Nationwide with Mike Beam as his crew chief. Mike is the kind of guy Trevor needs. Not sure if he'll be back in the #21 or not next year.

He's a sponsors dream. I admire his faith, but he just needs to avoid becoming preachy.

If he doesn't win races in that car then he has no excuse. Trevor seems like a good guy and I hope he's successful.

Yes he's only been in 13 races but with an average start of 21st and finish of 27th including Winning the Daytona 500 I'd hardly consider it a big flop.
Add in his health issue early in the year and the fact he's running for a limited budget team with a trainee pit crew, sounds like a decent rookie year to me.
Did'nt he come damn close to Winning at Talladega also? Oh thats right restrictor plate tracks are a crapshoot and anyone can win them Easily
