Race day in Martinsville! I sure would love to be there, even if it requires eating those nasty hot dogs!

REAL RACING! :beerbang:

I wouldn't put it past NASCAR to ruin Martinsville with "progressive banking".
NASCAR's not the one that's changing Bristol so I don't get the comment. If people don't show up @ Martinsville I think they'll lose one of their dates to another ISC track. I don't get why people don't fill those stands @ Martinsville. Years ago, before they covered those backstretch stands, that place held over 90,000 fans. Now the thing seats somewhere about 62,000 or so. I don't know the exact number. It's too bad the people don't show at that track. It's a good show there.

The dates aren't ideal though. March/April and October. The weather is not normally good this time of year. This race used to be in late April and September.

FOX has managed to surpass Rutledge Wood and SPEED in absurdity in their pre-race programming, which is impossible to do.

True enough but that was 12+ years ago. They packed them in there long after that. Once again the economy kicks another track in the a$$. People didn't stop going there because of bad racing or weather..... They just can't afford it anymore. Those RV don't fill that hill behind the backstretch because of $4/gal fuel. It can't be the tickets or concession stand prices at that track. They are dirt cheap compared to other venues.

But they keep moving the spring race further up and the fall race further back.

The late model race actually has a good draw... there were probably some 10,000-15,000 there for the LMSC300 last year.

It could be gas prices though, Martinsville is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Turned on the TV at 12:30, walked out to pick more weed. Just cam back in and was about to iun-mute, but I saw DW and MW. Leaving it on mute a while longer...

I have no patience for those two clowns so I turn to the channel on what I hope to be the pace laps.

Vickers had plenty of room to drop down in front of Kenseth. I wonder why he didn't?
