It's probably time for Tiger Woods to just get away from the sport for a long while. He says he hasn't got the time he used to take for practice because he wants to be closer to his children. Good for him, but he's the one who has made that the problem. But that's water under the bridge. Today Tiger shot a 77 at the Firestone CC, a place where he's won 7 times and this was the first time since 2003 that he shot over par every day of the tournament. Only one other player kept Tiger from being last in the tournament with 18 over par, which btw, is 39 more strokes than the record he shot ten years ago.

After he finished 4th in the Masters, many people believed that he was on his way back to the greatness that he was. However, since that tourney, he has steadily gone down hill with this week's tournament seeming to be the nadir of his career. I wonder if he can ever recover from what he did?

tiger is still tiger. he can come back but i don't think it will be anytime soon. personally, i think he should take the rest of the year off and get his personal life in order. i never thought he would ever be 18 over par in a tournament. certainly not while in his prime age-wise. his interview after the tournament was almost scary. no fight left in him, he's a beaten man and doesn't appear to know how to get his game back. he doesn't even look like the old tiger. time for a long vacation. hope he can eventually get his life, and his golf game, straightened out.

Golf needs him, but i seriously doubt he will win or even come close this year. Like you said Buck he needs time off, he needs to get his head on straight.

Dump that Buddha stuff tiger, and someone get the man a hooker and a stiff drink and he will have the PGA all wrapped up.

lol - this might actually work. he's separated and working on a divorce settlement. sainthood appears to be out of the question now so he may as well live life the way he wants. maybe john daley could give him some tips. <g> think of the new sponsors he could attract (liquor, entertainment) to replace the ones he's lost.
