His statement will be on every network plus all the cable news outlets at 11 am. Why?

He cheated on his wife, got caught and she beat his azz. Good for her, she should now take him for every frikken cent.

Why should we let him make a 'come back' and become a role model for our kids while raking in millions in endorsements?

I stay on the straight and narrow because I truly love my wife. But in all fairness she has insituted the Pottery Barn rule, I can look. It's the touching part that's not allowed. :)

That and Mrs SST has her own .38 and knows how to use it.:D

I'm with you on that. Even even worse, the whole country will come to a halt to watch his press conference. Hell, I had gone to another office to get something done, and they were glued to the TV because it was about to come on. Forget work, tiger's talking.

URGH! It's redonculous!

For those of us who believe that she likely did hit him,the denials bring the rest of his speech under a cloud.

Ding, ding, ding --- we have a winner!

I'm happy to say my TV wasn't even on at the time.

Mine isn't either. It's on reruns of Home Improvement.I just don't believe Woods when he says I'm sorry.A tiger never changes their stripes.

If that had been me my wife would still be on Nancy Grace sayin' "We don't know where SST went, he just up and disappeared the same day they were pouring concrete for the footings for the new NA$CAR bridge".

He wasn't on HGTV. :D
He is only sorry because he was caught or he would of come clean in private and told his wife.

Did anyone else think that he had a real difficulty in trying to say he was sorry? I couldn't care less about him but I understand humanity and that is why so many people, myself included, listened to his speech. It is also why when he does pick up a golf club again, the TV ratings will go through the roof. He cheated, he's gone through and is continuing therapy, and may or may not mean what he says but it's not any of us who have to accept or deny what he says. Elan has the last say so on this and we'll pretty much know what that is, but it may take a year or so, maybe even longer.

I don't know if there is such a thing as sexual addiction, but it seems that is pretty much like alcohol addiction and that is considered a disease and can be cured per se. I suspect that Tiger has lost so much ground to his fans and the public in general is because of what he did and the fact that he is so famous and is a multimillionaire. I seriously doubt anyone here would have much to say about the average Joe in the same situation, nor would we have heard about it. Cheating is cheating and it goes on every day in one way or another. How many of us have never cheated in any way? Just as Mike H said, steer clear of what he has if you feel that way. That probably would be what Tiger would like anyway. He isn't hurting for money and the less press he gets would be at the top of his list.

I don't care, which is why I'm glad I don't have TV at my business.

Does the phrase "Who gives rats butt" sum it up for anyone else but me.
It's about 50/50. But you can't deny this, it's getting more press than the current PGA event. BTW, who is in first place? I'll wager than most, if not all forum members don't know that answer (neither do I), but few, if any, have heard about Tiger's big news conference...if that is what you want to call it.

LMAO Buckaroo, I can never tell you is leading a PGA tournament.

I like golf , i like to play it now and then, but i must say i only watch it on telivision to see Tiger play. He is in another league when it comes to golf, he makes shots that you would swear there were no possible way in hell he could. So far i haven't watched one minute of golf yet this season, the sponsors, the PGa and fans alike are hurting because of his debacle. I lost a lot of respect for the man, I'll never be able to watch him play golf again and think about what an idiot he is. The PGA and sponsors are cringing right now because he might not come back this year. Lots of viewers lost means lots of money lost, Tiger is their meal ticket, No other player captures the attention of a golf audience like he does. I had actually thought he might say today that he was leaving golf for good, after all he doesn't need the money. It will be very hard for him to face the galleries when he comes back, if he goes out and plays well it might silence a few . However if he is so so, the critics and fans will get on him. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes, if i were I'd take my money and fade off into obscurity. Maybe if he takes a year off the damn media will layoff for awhile. Gets sickenin hearing about him every day.

Okay. Let us all be perfectly clear on this one thing. He's a golfer, and a darned good one at that. That being said, it doesn't, hasn't, and never will make him a saint. He cheated on his wife, so he's a cad. Doesn't detract from his golfing prowess.

What happened to Tiger is rather simple...people equated his golfing skills with his personal life, and made him a role model. He let himself be set up that way as well because it made him a ton of money. He was never my role model, so what he does doesn't mean much to me, personally.

john daly's a much more interesting golfer. when he makes the field anyway. he's made more than a few mistakes in life but i (and i'm sure a lot more) will tune in to 1.) see if he's sober and 2.) see how he can still play after wrecking his body and personal life so badly. tiger's a great golfer but his persona is plastic. john daly is real. <g>

Yep totally agree I love watching him play and man can he hit the ton out of the ball. Would be really cool to see Daily with his loud pants win a Major, now that would be something! As for Tiger being a role model, well how about all that foundation work he does with kids? He wanted to do that made it public, so I disagree with that, Tiger was stupid. He said it himself, he thought he was above everyone else. Maybe all of this will make him a better man, who knows. I think he would be better off being single and continuing his penchant for the ladies, after all it sure didn't hurt his golf game!:growl:

I just still don't get why the entire coutnry came to a grinding halt for his press conference:confused:

That's a good question. I'm sure a shrink could come up with a pretty interesting answer. To me, it seems like many people like to see somebody else, particularly someone much more successful than they are, suffer. It's why everybody stops to look at a car accident and why "reality tv" is so popular. It makes many people feel better about themselves to see others fail at anything.

I guess it's kind of why I watch Brett Favre play football. It vindicates my belief in how overrated that arrogant, selfish jackass really is when he throws an interception. I'm not sure I like what that says about me, but it is true.
