Tiger Woods

Next time I hit a hydrant and tree at 3 am I'm not talking to the cops. Instead I'll have my lawyer show them my license, registration and ins info in my driveway 3 days later.
Quick thinking by his wife though, upon hearing the crash she grabbed a 9 iron, ran down the driveway and broke out windows to remove him.....

yeah, right :booya:

I'm pretty curious to know what really happened myself, but I don't really think we will ever know the whole truth. Nor, do I think we should. I think this is a private matter among he and his family.

What frosts me is if I had done it, or you, don't you think we'd be giving statements to the cops? I'm tired of sports 'heros' getting away with everything, including murder.

Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one.

What's the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.

Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn’t decide between a wood and an iron.

From the statement he gave one can surmise he was playing on a few courses other than his wifes'.

http://www.comcast.net/articles/sports-general/20091201/Tiger.Woods/ for the whole story
Tiger Woods said he let his family down with ``transgressions'' he regrets ``with all of my heart,'' and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors.

His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles ****tail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer.

``I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves,'' Woods said on his Web site. ``I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.''

Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship.

``I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart,'' he said.

``I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves,'' Woods said. ``For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.''

I kind of wish she would of smashed his head like a watermelon at a Gallagher show. Then the media would have something to talk about other than 2nd hand gossip of what transpired. By the way if Tiger doesnt want his wife anymore I'll take her she is pretty hot lol.

I love this. All I hear from sports people is "this is private and the media should just leave it alone". I couldn't care less, or give a rat's behind what he does, but he's a man who has presented himself as being pure as the wind driven snow and had made gazillions hocking products because of his aura. To tell people that his private life is none of your business is silly though. When you step into the lime light as he has, and making the money he has with his image takes all of that way out of the picture. If Tiger were someone like me, or any other man here on R/F, it wouldn't make news outside this forum. For people like Tiger, image isn't just private, its money. Want to protect your future, be aware of the consequences.

As for me, a duffer, I'm still in awe of this man not only with his putter, but with his putter as well! :D What a STUD!

Coming home from the grocery store this evening, I listen to ESPN Radio and then to that rascally Sean Hannity. First, on ESPN Radio, some woman was giving an editorial about how Jasper Parvinik (sp) should be appologizing to Elin instead of Tiger for what he said. I just caught the end of it so I don't know what Jasper said. At the end of her editorial, she said that this isn't a news story and should be closed. Funny how its all over the news about how this is private and shouldn't even be discussed, yet who is keeping this story alive? Yep, the media. Then I switched and heard a caller telling Sean that this story is just gossip and people should just let it go. Sean argued with him on a few points but basically said that it isn't gossip because Tiger has admitted to his discretions, and two, this is a teachable moment. I'd have to agree with Sean on this. Men, and women for that matter, can take this as a lesson in what can happen if you stray from your marriage. For most of us, it won't cost as much, but we don't that much money, but the hurt will be the same. Also, children can learn from this as well, hopefully it will stay with them.

We don't know exactly what happened and we may never know, but one thing we do know is that Tiger now has egg on his face and it isn't going to go away for a long time.

He is lucky he didn't end up like Steve McNair.
You are correct. Whatever Tiger suffers, it will pale in comparison to what happened to McNair, and could have happened to Tiger.

It is only a teachable moment if you can make money off of it like Hannity does by spewing crap about it. Isn't it the American way these days, we put all the rich athletes, the great politicians, our admired teachers up on a pedestal only to watch them fall. Then when they do we tare them apart in the media, for all the world to see...oh my! The only difference between them and us is that they have oodles of money and we don't, isn't it the money and the exposure that made them famous? Without it they would be just common folk. It is a double standard which is becoming way too familiar in this country, way too common and accepted because it sells.....it makes money after all doesn't it?
