Remember when the Southern 500 was a Labor Day Weekend Tradition at The Lady In Black?
Did YOU attend, ever?
I have very fond memories, even tho I was never able to attend on Labor Day Weekends and would like to hear of any personal experiences you may have had.

how sad.. the only one i think i ever saw before it was moved was the year Labonte won it.. that was an awsome race.

I went once --- Jeff Burton won in a rain-shortened race LOL

I remember Big E chewing Jr's butt about being careful getting on pit road(Busch days) and then spinning himself during the Cup race. The silence on the radio was deafening. ROTFL It took about 2 laps before a very chastened Big E said "sorry, guys".

Darlington will live in our minds even if they take all the races away. A great track with great history and races. It should be the track where they hold the last race of the season. Now that would be a climax to the chase.

I read a story where many years ago one of the famous country singers (think Grand Ole Opry):) got drunk and fell off the float during a parade.
